They definitely had a ventilation problem as the smell of smoke (from the Casino) filtered up into the second floor halls and rooms of smoke free rooms! Terrible! We had to keep the air conditioner going all the time and then we could sleep. The Hotel itself was nice and nicely furnished. Very comfortable beds! We ate breakfast at the... More

First visit in over a year. Hotel and casino very large, lots of room to move around. All staff very friendly. Very nice looking grounds and property. Lots of slots and variety as well. Convenient location near the freeway and other local attractions.

I have a cabin nearby so I stop by on occasion for a beer and to people watch. I'm not much of a gambler. First I must say the air is thick with smoke. Not sure why people chain smoke while gambling but I guess its the last public place that allows it so they are making up for lost... More

Located just off of Interstate 35 south of Duluth by about 20 miles, this hotel and casino was initially built in the middle of nowhere, except for the highway access. The property has everything you would expect from a typical hotel casino/hotel complex, basic rooms, swimming pool for the kids, steakhouse, buffet, and bistro type restaurants, an 18 hole golf... This is one of my favorite restaurants for lunch . They have the best burgers and very resanably priced . All tables are set with table cloths and great staff . Check it out for a great lunch , and if you are felling lucky you can play bingo or some slot machines .

While in Duluth for a college football game (CSS Saints) my companion and I stayed for two nights at this hotel/casino. Our room was on the 1st floor of the older of the 2 hotel units but for our purposes it was a great location. The room was very clean, including the carpet/baseboard areas which always seem to be overlooked... More

Wife and I went away for the weekend. Hotel: Not sure about the new "tower" but the original hotel is in definite need of a cleaning and new paint. I would compare the rooms to a low end Super 8 or America's Best Value. Beds were comfortable but the rest of the room needed help. I would say great place... More

We stopped here to have lunch and say goodbye to good friends. This buffet is outstanding and worth every dime they charge. Very well priced for the huge variety of very good foods. The salad bar was fresh, the meats where plentiful and tender, the desert bar was excellent.

We made reservation ahead of time on via a app. I noticed these two check-in clerks were sitting at a desk, and people checking in were sitting? The loser in the line in front of us had his entire entourage all around him. All dressed in their Sunday trailer trash best. Finally it came time to pay, and they had... More

We spent two nights at the Black Bear Casino in August. The buffets for breakfast, lunch and supper are really good and reasonably priced. We did not play at the casino. The rooms were very nice. We stayed in a pool side room and were very satisfied. I would stay again.
