My wife and I stayed at the Cannon Falls Campground in site #T5 for 2 days just to get away for a weekend. Nice campground, larger than we normally stay at but our site was on the edge of the grounds backing up to woods so no neighbors behind us. Good space on both sides, would be nice if there were bushes or a few trees between sites for a little more privacy. Our site was pretty level, we only had to raise one side slightly to be perfect. Very easy hook ups. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and all staff wore masks. Easy bike ride into town, if you don’t mind riding on a highway. Nice bike trail access once there. Didn’t realize there was a fee to ride the trail but well worth the 5 bucks. We stayed in our motorhome and I will stay again in the future.
Our kids have a seasonal site here, and we have started coming for weekends to spend time with them and our two grandsons. Campground is clean, well maintained, friendly and just a fun place to stay. Variety of sites for any type of camper. Streets and walkways well maintained. Weekend arrival process well-honed and quick. Small store, snack counter and ice cream selections are a real treat. Highly recommend this campground to all. City of Cannon Falls offers local attractions as well as trail head to the Cannon Falls biking and hiking trail.
Cannon Falls Campground is the most well maintained and cleanest privately owned campground we have visited in our years of experience. The staff was courteous and helpful. All the sites were well spaced so not an overcrowded place. It was our first visit there but certainly not the last.
We enjoyed the campground up until the last day. We were packing up our trailer and truck and knew 12:00 noon was checkout time, when the campground maintenance decided to start mowing the area immediately around us throwing lawn debris onto our truck and trailer. They should have waited until we had left and then began mowing. It was rude and invaded our space while we were trying to get out of there.
This is my favorite campground. I found it last September and went with a few of my gfs for a mommy getaway. It was a blast but quickly saw my kids would love it. It has something for everyone. Grocery store near by,, a sweet little farmers market, a river if you want to fish, tube or kayak. On top of a very accommodating campground. Lots of activities for children and adults. We are going to make it an annual trip. We'd like to go more than once a year. we're going to try at least. Seriously, just go.
