Marina & Room were good as usual. Very disappointing that the pool was not clean or working for the June or July trip. One pump was busted and they were out of clorine. That meant no progress for almost a month. . I will add the restaurant was impressive. Service and Food was great! The staff as always great. The Maina staff are the BEST EVER!!!!!!
Spent 3 nights on a fishing trip. The room was huge with an incredible ocean view. Food, Drinks, and the staff were extremely helpful and fun. I would do Click2Clear for Customs and Immigration. Fuel Dock and slips were great. Will definitely return.
This hotel has so much potential. First the good things...very spacious rooms/good A/C/comfy bed/Excellent, friendly staff, marina decent and maintenance being done, food at restaurant and tiki bar is good. Now for the bad... our room smells musty/could use a deep clean/shower missing spray valve so runs water constantly/safe doesn’t work in any of our rooms(4)/ kitchette is a joke(no spoons, no pans), pool looks terrible(cloudy, weeds growing thru pavers, tiles dirty looking), lounge chair sitting out that is completely broken..just throw it out, swing set for kids has broken swing just hanging there, grounds are poorly maintained and has so much potential. Until this resort gets maintained better I will not be back.
It had been about 4 years since I last stayed here. 4 years ago it was wonderful. Now the lack of maintenance is really showing. The buildings look dilapidated. They are in need of painting.. Seems like all of the 1st floor rooms have water damage from hurricane Dorian. My room smelled like mold and I had a sore throat when I woke up the next morning. All of the fixtures in the shower were completely corroded. The pool was extremely cloudy. One of the guest had to change rooms. Only 1 of the 6 bbq grills worked. The only real positive is that the marina is in good shape. Its disappointing to see this place so run down.
We had a very good experience on our stop over encountered to the Abacos. We started 2 nights in a guestroom off the marina & needed 1 slip for our boat. Customs was very easy to clear & the people working there extremely polite & helpful. Our room was clean & comfortable, the restaurant very good, pool area nice & great little bar & grill there. The Lady Dock Master was very nice & funny! The front desk staff was quick & Sharon, especially was super helpful & had wonderful customer service!!
We love the location for entering or leaving the Bahamas. The staff is VERY helpful and professional. However, it is not inexpensive and the facilities are NOT being maintained. There was no hot water in the showers on the east side and no water pressure and Luke warm water on the west side. The on site convenience store has virtually no inventory but the staff was very helpful in taking us to a small grocery store ten minutes away. Another highlight is Tasha’s food stand…an absolute must ….her Conch Fritters are the best in the Bahamas.
I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for 3 nights, but had to cut the visit short and leave a day early because of a health hazard at the hotel. I was inundated by some sort of bugs which severely bit me - No See Ums. I had hundreds of bug bites on my legs, so I had to leave early. It also has prevented me from returning to work once I got back home. The hotel needs to do something to mitigate the bugs. Spraying to prevent them from harming the guests? I was also disappointed that I was charged for the final night of the stay, although I had to leave because of the health concerns at the resort. Also, there is a lack of service and amenities at the hotel. I cut them some slack due to covid, but they seem to be not dealing with it as well as the other hotel I stayed at in The Bahamas. Some of the problems experienced: the shuttle didn’t meet at the airport, non-working facilities in the room, severe lack of food options, very slow service, used shampoo bottle in bathroom, musty/mildew in room, etc. After all the problems, I was surprised to see they charged $67 per night for resort fees. $20 per day for amenities fee (what amenities?), $23.60 per day service charge (what service?), $23.60 per day for resort levy (what for?). These fees are not warranted given the lack of amenities and poor service. The worst thing is that the hotel had no response when I informed them of these issues.…
The docks are in good shape, the marina basin is deep, the channel is well marked. The fuel dock had cheaper prices than blue marlin cove. But the staff rolls up the carpet at night. This place should be hopping but it's just bouncing along. By the way trip advisor, al your questions about masking are ridiculous. Please stop acting like covid is somehow part of our lives now. You look like idiots for sucking up to the government like this.
Magical Piece of Heaven with Water Views, Sunrise & Sunset. Beautiful Beach, Marina, Pool, Spa with Patrick & staff serving Gourmet Food. ( Grouper BLT) We arrived late, “Quiggly” was on her way home turned around to check us in room with Tommy Bahama Decor. Most rooms have views of beach from your beds as you wake up in the morning. Local town has Native Boats selling Lobster Conch Fresh Fish catch that day! Downtown Freeport is 30 minutes away with All Services Open. Brian & Douglas
As a cruising sailboat we stopped here to clear customs and wait out a cold front. The customs personnel were exceptionally helpful in helping me navigate a new computer clearance program. The cracked conk in the beach tiki hut was great. Overall our three day stay was great
