Our trip plans changed and we stayed here for two nights. The room was clean. Nice view of the sunrise drinking our morning coffee on the porch. There was a kitchenette with a full size fridge, stovetop and microwave. There are no pots, pans, many dishes. We had 2 plates, 2 forks and one spoon. We were traveling in our boat and had an electric skillet we brought to the room so things worked out. I grabbed a beer from the tiki hut and 2 dinners at the restaurant. I highly recommend the restaurant. The ladies there are great! A gentleman caught a snapper from the dock and they cooked it for my dinner.

We have traveled many places but this resort is falling short. For the prices we paid, we were told we couldn't have dish soap, paper towels, laundry soap (I had to buy at their convenience store). No pots in the room had to request. Everything is very run down. I hear it's due to a hurricane but it's embarrassing. Pool is dirty. Hard to find beach towels (used room towels). Asked to borrow scuba equipment and the had 3 sets old and broken. Basketball court missing hoop. Gym equipment almost all broken. Staff was very helpful and friendly and food was good but need to shape up the place! Also for the location, very very remote so make sure to stop on the way in at the grocery store so you have necessities like waters, alcohol, cereal, snacks. Otherwise you are forced to buy everything at their restaurants which are not cheap. There are no stores offsite within any close distance. Also freeport in general is very minimal. We went to the shopping area and most stores closed. I would suggest going to turks and caicos or another bahamas island until they recover from covid and past hurricanes.

Stay Report - 5/30 to 5/31 Location: The resort is located on the far western part of Grand Bahama. It's about a 40 minute drive from the Freeport Airport. There's very little located around the resort but if you drive 5 minutes you'll find a couple of small grocery stores and a bar that sells beer to go. Resort: The absolute selling point. The resort itself is lovely. There's a good sized pool, very nice beach with a lot of nice touches like beach chairs, floating recliners, beach games (shuffleboard) and ping pong, there's a fitness center, business center in the lobby and a pool bar and restaurant. Walking around the resort is pleasant with the colorful buildings. Service: Here's where the issues lie: service is terrible. I checked in and was directed to a room. I got to the room and found it dirty and it wasn't the room I'd booked. I had to go back to the front desk and was given a second room. It wasn't finished being cleaned either (no towels and we were given used toiletries). I'd also paid extra for a junior suite with couch and pull out bed and full kitchen and got neither. They did take $30 off my rate at least. Dining: Decent. I had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and lunch and drinks at the pool bar. Service is slow and haphazard and everything is seemingly broken. I heard the following things were broken during my 18 hours here: - At night: the ability to charge dinner to the room - The next morning: The ability to pay with credit cards - At breakfast: "The coffee" - The key reader to my room If you go into it with the right attitude I guess it'll be okay but when you're spending over $400 a night and you are directed to a dirty room that's also a downgrade, you're not going to be thrilled.

The beach is really clean and the water is super clear. Over all this was the best vacation. And you cant really expect anything to be perfect Karens because this is the Bahamas and they are a third world country.
