Drysdale River Station is like most stations along the Gibb River road and Kalumburru road. They provide a respite from dust and corrugations with good camping and facilities. The toilets and showers are very clean, up to date and there's laundry facilities as well. Even if you don't stop here on your way to Mitchell Plateau or Kalumburru, you'll need... More

Welcoming friendly staff and surrounds. Good quality of amenities given we are in outback Australia. Food ok at the pub too, especially after cooking in campsites for a week. Good cold beer. Washing machines available if you need to use them.

This campsite is really nice. I would just say bring earplugs as the cattle sounded like a bad primary school trumpet band when we were there! It's the jumping off point for the Mitchell Plateau, and they also offer flights up over the coast and Mitchell Falls. We did this and it was really good. The campsite is very big... More

If you are planning a trip to Mitchell Falls (and why wouldn't you?) then Drysdale is the logical place to stop, both on you way up and on your way back. The road north can be very, very rough, so don't plan on a quick trip to the falls, allow a day each way. Not that it takes that long... More

We stayed in the campground for 3 nights in our tent. Beautiful place to stay. Very friendly staff. Drove up to Mitchell Falls for the day. Very long day but got back just before sunset - an amazing experience. $15 per adult per night for the campground. Toilets & showers nice & clean. Beautiful garden for drinks & meals. Recommend... Great little spot while driving the road to Mitchell Falls. The KBB (Kimberley beef burger) was so good we had to try it again on the way back. Fuel and water available, didn't camp but enjoyed a cold beer and a burger and we really enjoyed it.

Never expected to find vego options in this part of the world and it's really good lasagne at that! Great place to spend a night or two after tripping around further north. Really friendly team, they don't ask much other than stick to their speed limit. Paid $15 for unpowered camping up at the homestead. Great showers!

We have been travelling the Gibb River Road on our way to Mitchell Falls and found this oasis. Nice and flat for the van big sites just put it anywhere basically. They allowed us to leave the van the next day - they write you in there book. When you return you advise them. Road further on gets even worse... More

After blowing two tyres on the Gibb, and driving 60km from the Kalumburu turnoff to Drysdale on the remains of one of them (3.5 hours, not much left of the tyre but rim ok), I stumbled in here after dark and was given a discount on a room for the night. Next day, Drysdale had BF Goodrich A-T's in stock... More
