Detailed Reviews
This LaQuinta was a hidden gem. We almost didn't consider it because it was priced quite a bit lower than other hotels in the area. It is a bit older, but they have taken very good care of it and it was apparent by the number of people cleaning and polishing, that they are making a great effort. Highly recommended!!!

This is a solid hotel located in the beautiful Woodbury area. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Upon check-in, we were informed housekeeping is not daily, it is Wednesday and Saturday, unless requested otherwise, which we find is typical now with staffing challenges and hotels in this price point and does not affect our opinion of the place as we find that to be fine and changing linens daily to be unnecessary. Complimentary breakfast was adequate (breads for toasting, packaged baked goods, hot and cold cereals, waffle maker, sausage patties, eggs, and yogurts; would be nice to switch it up a little day to day and add a potato option such as hashbrown squares, however). One odd setup is having the coffeemaker in the bathroom - odd placement choice given germs that circular upon flushing, and we like a sink that is outside and separate from the toilet area so someone can still use the toilet if someone else just needs a mirror and sink for washing or morning or evening prepping. So, overall, the hotel is pretty decent and we give them a score of 4 out of 5. What we find today is, at no fault of hotels, people/guests have become worse - no manners, no etiquette. Some guests threw their stinky washcloths and towels into the hall so that when housekeeping crew came through for turnover of rooms being vacated, they would pick them up. Also a work crew was staying in town and some of them left their dirty, stinky boots and hardhats in the hall.

We have stayed here several times and never had any problems. Front desk staff is always warm, welcoming and helpful! Rooms are always super clean, and I love that they have Dove bath products, my 2 and 4 year old were able to have a lovely bubble bath that I knew wasn't going to irritate their skin. Breakfast was standard, Waffles, sausage links, eggs, and many bread items. The only bummer is that since the hot tub is broken it makes the pool area too cool for the little ones to go swimming, that's where the Dove body wash came in handy. The location is awesome for most events in and around the cities. This will always be my go to for Cities trips!

Ya think customers service would be accommodating during a pandemic and some of the people on this planet aren’t doing so well, myself included.
I am homeless and have fallen prey to life of covid and mental illness.
I asked to have a small extension on my room as my treatment center would take 3 hours to pick me up and I just asked for an hr past there forced checkout time and was told 1230 I had to be out.
I get it. I really do. I also have worked In hotels and customer service my whole entire life and I can say on a Monday, ya don’t have guests lined up at the door, nor will you probably have that room cleaned today due to it being a Monday and you guys don’t have the housekeeping around.
I am just saying, take it easy on people, during a pandemic, as you don’t know what anyone that walks in your door is going through, although they could care less as they are far up everyone’s business, looking for a smoker in any room so they can collect the 250$ fee they charge for the stupidity of ones actions. Greeeeedy greeeeedy greeeedy hotel.
The Hilton accompanied me for 88 days and never ever bothered me for a checkout time and that is why I stayed there for so long. Here, I made it two days.
I do not recommend this place. The bed squeaky and bathtub does not keep filled with water.
The customer service is rude except Mya, I believe her name is.
Mya is professional and she maintains a positive attitude. That’s probably the only good review I could leave for the place, other than that, stay away!!

I stayed overnight with a girlfriend to take advantage of the shuttle to the airport. Had a very early flight out, so in a rush to catch the shuttle, I forgot my bag of jewelry in the room. When I realized I’d left it I called the hotel and they told me they would look into it and call me back after they checked with housekeeping. They never called me back. I end up having to call three times before I ever got response to whether my jewelry was found. I was informed my jewelry did not show up.
I am quite certain my jewelry was in my room As I recall taking the bag out and contemplating whether or not to wear a pair of earrings and decided not to to avoid metal detector issues at the airport. The jewelry was not valuable, perhaps $150 value total, but it had sentimental because some of the items were gifts and were my favorite pieces.
I realize I should’ve been more careful in my packing, but I am very disappointed that I had to call three times before I got my answer. I will probably not stay at the La Quinta inn again.

I found La Quinta in Bloomington, Minnesota fell quite short on what I have come to expect from a Wyndham hotel; both in quality and service.
My room, while comfortable, appeared to only be surface cleaned and was in need of a deeper clean (e.g. my daughter took a video under one bed that captured socks, food and other debris).
The majority of staff seemed overwhelmed or bothered when you approached them. On two different occasions when asking about the area (e.g. restaurant within walking distance) staff reported they did not know as they are not from the area. Staff interactions was based on my own personal experience, as well as what I observed others experience or overheard from staff on the phone. The one exception was “John” who we met one night shift. He smiled and was friendly when approached. He actually seemed interested in having a conversation.
My worries about this location actually started at check in, where we arrived at the hotel at 2:45pm and was told we needed to wait in the lobby until 3pm before we could be checked in. As instructed we stood with the other families waiting to check in, only to watch the two staff converse between themselves until another guest walk in and be checked in before those who were waiting. The check in process, once it occurred, was smooth and quick.
The included breakfast was convenient and satisfactory. I would note the open times for the breakfast area are shorter than most hotels and do change on weekends. Also if you are staying more than a couple nights, breakfast does become tired as there are no changes to the menu options.
The only amenities we really used was the internet and the pool…both were good. The hot tub was out of commission…according to other reviews it appears to have been down sometime and given the caution barricade the hotel has constructed around the hot tub, it will be for some time. There is a guest laundry which would be helpful if needed.
Lastly, the shuttle service is convenient, but it is not always reliable. Our pick up on arrival was timely and without issue. On another pick up request we went back to the spot we were dropped off in the morning, only to be told we needed to walk 1.5 miles. The staff claimed the driver would never have dropped us off at the location we were at and there was nothing they could do. Thankfully the UBER was only $10. Our departing shuttle to the airport also came with challenges where staff told us at check out they have been calling our room to report there was an emergency and our 11am shuttle was now 10:40. The emergency ended up being a pick up of a guest at the other La Quinta location and a drop off at the Mall of America.
Being a regular at many Wyndham locations for personal and work travel, I know with certainty I will not return to this location on my next trip to Minnesota. In fact, despite the budget friendly rate I received, this experience will have me avoiding La Quinta locations in general.

Completed a reverse park and fly. Everything was good at drop off. Upon return, there were problems. Dennis was the van driver who picked us up at the airport. He proceeded to complain the entire way back to the hotel about the “new management” that took over a month ago. He said the credit card bill was due last week and the new company hasn’t dealt with that. He keeps reporting problems and nothing gets done. He asked if we wanted to be dropped at the front door of the hotel or near our vehicle. We were staying the night, so the front door. After he started unloading the luggage, things got awkward. He tried to hand my mom someone else’s suitcase. My mom told him it wasn’t hers. Dennis went off on her about this is his job, he knows what he’s doing, he unloads all the luggage at the front door……he went on and on. No need to talk to a seventy year old woman (or any customer) like this!!! It was after midnight and we were all tired.
In the morning breakfast was served 6-9. Because we hadn’t gone to sleep until 2, we made it down to breakfast at 8:50. There was a long line at the waffle maker. We were told the waffle batter was gone and wouldn’t be refilled. At promptly 9, the breakfast lady started removing all items and shutting off the juice and coffee machines. There were still people making waffles and eating breakfast. She never said a word, but continued to put everything away, including plates and silverware. There were no napkins, just rolls of industrial paper towels. The lady moved signs in front of the breakfast area at 9 to notify everyone it was closed.
We drug our luggage through the hotel to the back parking lot. I stepped out to check if I was in the right area for my car. I got locked out!! Two conflicting signs at the back door….
Think twice about booking here. And if Dennis is running the shuttle, good luck!!!

The hotel itself is your basic hotel. Nothing fancy or spectacular about it. A bit worn down, in use of some updates. The pool is is your normal hotel pool, however the pool deck holds water and there are big puddles of water that you cannot avoid. It gets super slippery and your shoes will get wet. Swimming in the evening it's dark and has a caved in feel (not in a good way). The free "breakfast" is a HUGE disappointment. Had bagels (blueberry only), Cereal (frosted flakes only), oat meal (original or spiced-no toppings), and fruit. That's it. So if you were expecting a waffle maker, or pancake maker, or hot breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausage) like most normal hotels offer, you'll be disappointed too and YES this is a Saturday morning. Only reason I gave this hotel 3 stars was that it is priced nicely, is in a nice area (even if a little confusing to get to with the weird circles you feeling you're driving), and it's quiet (no kids screaming, no music blaring, no dogs barking, etc).

This LaQuinta provided a stay/park/fly/stay at a very fair price. Rooms need better cleaning attention
better 'plug in' options. Breakfast was not what is advertised. Shuttle was great. Desk staff friendly

There is a big sign by the hot tub that says anyone 16 and under is not allowed? The rule is somewhat unforced by not overly friendly staff. Pool room looks dirty, depth numbers on pool look like they’ve never been cleaned and if you turn the jets on for the hot tub you will not be able to hear yourself think. Overall the pool/hot tub room was very disappointing. Hotel room was ok, although the washroom was not renovated very nicely. The free breakfast was great. I personal wouldn’t stay here again because of the pool room but other than that it was a good value for the cost of the room.

Yes but it would be more enjoyable to spend the night in your car.
I'm really not sure about that but I would suggest that you call hotel directly.
It may take a couple of stops but yes. You could also take free shuttle to Mall if America and then catch the light rail to Target Field.
It is included in the price of the room.
Sorry I do not know.
