Played the course twice on a rainy cool day. Still enjoyed it it a lot. Took advantage of the replay rate on second round, this is cheaper than the twilight rate. Was surprise the full fall rate was not reduced from their summer rate, just under $100 US. Bring your own GPS or Rangefinder as cart do not provide yardage. If it is wet expect cart path only. Tee boxes are mostly raised so your legs get a workout as there are no stairs to use. Staff are friendly and in September pace of play was around 4 hours. Played my Replay rate alone and did so in 3 hours. Very good driving range areas included, as is chipping area. the chipping area doubles as putting green so that was a bit unexpected and didn’t give a good sense of actual greens speed. FYI, they do allow singles to make bookings, which is nice.

So the review title is pretty lame but for us it was a good location for what we planned on doing. We went to tour the iron range on a day trip. We had a two bedroom co do. The lodge is typical of a northwoods lodge., it. Is. Very cLean, nice bar and restaurant. It was July and we took our cooler our to the common area deck and watched the birds and sunset for two lovely happy hours after long days. Everyone was friendly. The price point was steep for Not having it’s own private deck or balcony...I’ve stayed in 3 Airbnb since MAy in 3 other states and this One costs more then all of the others combined. We booked it for convenience. I’d stay there again. Lovely quiet clean but nothing exceptional for the price.

I came to the lodge for a wedding. What a great venue, the Quarry was not only a great venue for marriage, but a great place to eat and drink. The lodge itself had a great bar and many wonderful things to do. I really enjoyed the rock wall, riding the ski lift, and taking a walk down the trails. I wish I rented a bike, because who doesnt love riding downhill, then getting on ski lift and going again! Great time, would recommend to anyone.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. And yet the ski lifts, chalet, and lodge are top of the line. This is not your normal Midwest ski resort experience, and we appreciated all the amenities. The decor was not the most modern, but kept with the “up north” vibe. I realize there are some subsidies that have allowed for the upgrades... all part of an economic stimulus plan for the region. As a tax payer, I’m not sure where I stand. But as a guest- it was a great stay. We did not need to leave the resort for anything- reasonably priced food and the kids enjoyed the arcade area.
