Our stay was wonderful - 3 nights for the price of 2. Great sunrises while enjoying a Scandinavian breakfast. Dining featured unique offerings and the raspberry red velvet cake was fabulous. Lots of positive interaction with the staff. Close to snowmobile trails and state park hiking. Bonus: weather was incredible!

This place is AMAZING! I usually wait to review after check we check out, but our experience has been nothing short of excellent. The beds are so comfy, they have the sweetest staff ever, and everything is super clean. Check in was a breeze. They even gave us a gift for our anniversary. I highly recommend booking a cottage. We genuinely feel like we’re home.

We had the most amazing pre Christmas stay at cove point ! From the moment we arrives Santa Erb was just a delightful host his special flashing badge was a credit. Our party had a spacious cottage with open fire and right by the shore ! We had second floor room with balcony fireplace and jacuzzi bath. Didn’t have time to use pool but the restaurant food was excellent and we are sorry we didn’t get our servers name ! But you were great recalling our drinks orders . Thank you so much !!! Just go and chill , watch the lake ! Listen to the waves and chillax 💕

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Cove Point this year. We had lovely accommodations, beautiful views and very positive interactions with staff. My husband and I have been to Cove Point in the past for our anniversary in October and we were happily anticipating three days on the North Shore. During our second day, my husband had a very serious bike accident which ended with him being transported to St. Luke’s In Duluth. The staff at Cove Point not only showed their compassion but stepped up and helped me with several concrete concerns. A big shout out to a wonderful staff and a great place to visit. We plan to return soon!

Overall I thought this was a good value for the money, and I would return! Very nice property, very clean and well-maintained (wish I had caught the name of the maintenance man who helped me with a door lock issue, he was very helpful!) We stayed in a lodge room, which was very nice, I'm sure the cabins are very nice too. We had a deck mere yards from the lake shore. It is in a very cute little cove and you really know you are staying on lake Superior. Rooms were nice, staff was great, good amenities including a really decent size mini-fridge in the room . Like everywhere else up and down the shore, the on-site restaurant is affected by the labor shortage, and the serving staff were filling multiple roles, so please bring just a modicum of patience and extend the staff a little grace - they are really hustling. Food was great - I highly recommend the stuffed walleye.

Cove Point Lodge’s location has its own hiking trail that goes counter clockwise in a semi circle - say from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. - through the cove all the way to the last rock in Lake Superior. Its grounds is sloping, has lush vegetation, maintained grass, has wildflowers, including beautiful lupines, a fire pit, a pebble beach, clear and clean lake waters. Its grounds have white wooden chairs and picnic tables wherein guests could enjoy nature and relax. Its location is BEAUTIFUL! All of the staff we interacted with are pleasant. Coffee, tea, cookies and marshmallows are always available. It has art supplies for kids’ entertainment up the stairs in the 2nd floor. Although room 310 is around the corner by the elevator and south stairs, near the lobby, restaurant and swimming pool, is a spacious room with a couch and has a wheelchair accessible shower, its bed is sagging - worst on the right side where I felt the spring - which caused not so good four night’s sleep and may entail health visits to correct skeletal alignment. Their Norwegian complimentary breakfast has the exact same offerings daily with sufficient variety so that I had a different first meal in four mornings. They also provide to-go containers for those who hike trails. The staff I checked out with said they “had new beds delivered but two failed”. Management has to look into installing door slam preventer. The entire lodge is shaking and other kinds of noises - elevator cable(?), creaking roof - are audible in room 310 at night. They were fully booked during our stay and were unable to switch us to another room; hence, they granted a $25 dollar discount per night. Fair!! All rooms have a balcony overlooking Lake Superior with chairs. We’re treated with the tranquil sound of waves kissing the rocks even when seated on the couch.

We stayed in the lodge, i think all the lodge rooms overlook lake superior. REception personnel at front desk very friendly and helpful. Room beautiful and quiet. Great to sleep with windows open and hear the waves lapping on the shore. Breakfast was exactly as described on the website, don’t expect more. There are no hot offerings for breakfast, and the cold cereals are all sugary cereals kids like except for plain cheerios. Yes they did have granola, but the yogurt was prepackaged low fat low protein and the fruit left something to be desired (oranges were seemingly old and shriveled up). Protein offerings were individually wrapped salami slices and bland cheeses (Scandinavian ) and pickled herring and hard boiled eggs (cold). Bread was plain white rolls or bagels and Nutella. Lingonberry jelly. THe restaurant at dinner was very pleasant. THe pillows on the bed were not comfortable at all for me and my husband, but that said everyone has different pillow needs and it is hard for a place to have pillows that please everyone. Mini fridges also had a little real freezer compartment just big enough to freeze ice cubes or else put our frozen ice blocks from the cooler in. It would also be nice to have pillows on the couch in the room, since it is a deep couch and without pillows hard to sit comfortably and have back support. The place was immaculately clean. Despite the comments above it is a beautiful peaceful place and i would recommend it highly, and hope to come again sometime. Plus we actually made last minute arrangements to come and were able to get a room for 3 nights. ANd the convenience of being close to Tettegouche, spilt rock and gooseberry falls cannot be beat,

The resort has all the basic nessessities to come and unwind. Simple features and the very nature of Lake Superior shore, allows oneself time to decompress and really relax. Don't expect a carribean resort experiance with all its distractions but expect to find simple pleasures from a moment at a waterfalls to looking for agates along the shore. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for the first time. Great customer service, friendly staff. Resort was clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable mattress. Has a restaurant. Also has a grill but staff misquoted hours and we had to leave resort to find lunch. Pool was closed. Wish they had a fitness room. We had a snow storm and there was nothing to do. Luckily they had decent cable channels but wish they had options to stream our Netflix/Hulu.

We have been here before, so we knew what to expect, and they delivered again! The clean rooms and fantastic service are worth five stars, but they also have a restaurant serving delicious food, campfires by the lake with free s’mores, and free sugar cookies! We love this place and will be back!
