A cozy place off of Hwy 61 is well worth the stop! If it hadn't been so warm on the North Shore when we were there, this would have been a wonderful destination.Beautiful bike trail, wonderful river and falls hiking, and a restaurant that has the best fresh herring I have ever tasted. It has everything that you need, except... More

My husband and I stayed here recently in a teeny tiny room for $91 which was half below ground as the window sill was at ground level. There was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot. You could hardly turn around. However, the bed was comfortable, room clean and the shower was good. The wifi in the rooms was also strong.... More

Quaint little place along the shore with restaurant. had a 2 queen loft. Nice setup. Very friendly staff and just so you are aware there is no AC but is usually cooler by the lake. Fans in rooms. Good price for the room and the restaurant is attached.

There were 4 of us. We were greeted by an obviously overworked waitress from the adjoining restaurant for our check in. Not a warm welcome but not surly either. To sum up without being wordy these are our noted detractions....no Kleenex, no hair dryer, no little bottles of shampoo, no maid service during stay, no breakfast, no coffee maker in... More

My friend and I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night to hike a portion of the Superior Hiking Trail. It was very clean. Beds were very comfy, hot water for showers, microwave, frig. Bedroom with 2 comfy queen beds were up stairs. Downstairs sofa and chair were quite uncomfortable, but did not spend a lot of time in... More

Stayed for a night on a drive around Lake Superior. Room was clean and no complains there. Ate in the restaurant for dinner which was nice. Would have eaten breakfast there but they were not open when I left in the morning (I think about 8am). Overall, good value though.

If you MUST have air conditioning and cable TV and room service? There are other options in the area. However, you will probably pay at least twice as much. Our room was clean, cozy, and had a nice bathroom. You really do not get a lot of extra "frills," but they do clean the room. Honestly, if you're coming to... More

Stayed the weekend at Camp 61. We were up for snowmobiling and fun. They have a good restaurant and bar. Holiday gas station right next door. Also another bar within walking distance. Luca the dog is very friendly. Great access to the trails. Excellent place to stay for the price. Review by Chris (Ann's husband)

The room was nicely decorated with a north woods cabin flair. It was very clean. The bed was a little too firm to our liking. The young lady that checked us in was very welcoming and helpful. We ate at the restaurant and the food and service was great. The same girl was bartender and waitress serving several tables with... More

Stayed here while on a hunting trip to the area. Room was very clean and spacious. We had three guys staying and I thought we would get stuck with basic motel room but were pleasantly surprised when room had loft area with a bed and pull out couch thing. All three of us had plenty of room. I would definitely... More
