We stayed in Villa 4 from June 29 - July 6 and really enjoyed ourselves. There were 7 of us in the Villa. Overall it was just a little tight. We had one on a cot and one on the sofa to sleep. If we all wanted to hang out in the living room we had to sit on the dinning room chairs or one of the bag chairs we bought. The villa's are new and clean! All amenities were there and we didn't really want for anything. The swimming pool was steps away and to be honest you can't hear anyone when you are in the villa and someone is in the pool. No issues with that. The resort was super clean, there was plenty of parking and the lake was great. We rented the pontoon a few days. They don't keep it covered so it was a little dirty but didn't create an issue. We wanted a fishing boat as well but they are down to only one of those. Barb and Steve are really nice and super helpful. We would definitely recommend Holly's resort!

My family and I visit Holly's for 2 weeks every July. We have been going for several years. The cabins are very quaint and decorated nicely. They are clean and updated. There are always plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. Bedding is provided and extra blankets, pillows, fresh sheets are available upon request. The resort area outside is kept up nicely and clean. There is a play area for kids that include playground equipment (eagle's nest), swings, 2 sand boxes and a place to have a camp fire. They have recently added villas and a small swimming pool across the rode from the resort. The villa guests have the ability to come enjoy the lake front and viice versa. The office has a small t-shirt, sweat shirt and hat collection to purchase. They also have soda, water, coffee, candy and ice cream for purchase. My favorite thing is to get up in the morning and sit on my deck with coffee and enjoy the lake and everything it has to offer. The Owners, Steve and Barb Jensen, are the most welcoming and friendly people. They have become like family. We even have a friendly ongoing rivalry between the Gopher fans and Husker fans. GBR!

14 years our family has been going to Holly's. It is our favorite part of summer! Steve and Barb have become family. We even got married on their pontoon boat 9 years ago! The last several off seasons have been spent remodeling cabins and this year putting up the 5 villas. That's a tall order to fill with weather interference. They have the grass roped off in hopes of being able to grow nice grass instead of sandy paths. Over the years I have watched Holly's resort go from a bunch of old fisherman cabins to a family retreat. The people who are there the same week we are have become our Minnesota neighbors as they have been coming as long as we have or longer. There is a very nice playground, a bonfire pit, a decent swimming area by the lake as well as the new pool. While things like weather are out of Steve and Barb's control they will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a pleasurable experience. Holly's will always be my favorite place to make memories with my family, relax and take in the absolute beauty of Ottertail Lake!!!
