d'Omah hotel is located in the village of Tembi and only twenty minute drive from the center of bustling Yogyakarta, the cultural center of Java.d’Omah in the Javanese language means “at home “it offers a unique holiday experience within this small Javanese village untouched by the outside world. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the rice fields and watch as village life passes by, basko carts and wrinkle-faced old rice farmers totally unperturbed by the events of the hotel. Our rooms are situated within three one hundred year old artistically restored Joglo’s. Each room is individually furnished to reflect the beauty and history of its particular Joglo. Woven together by koi ponds and naturally spring fed swimming pools is a hotel filled with charm and character.

Dear Moses R, Greetings from d'Omah Hotel Yogyakarta! Thank you for sparing us your time writing about us on TripAdvisor. It was our pleasure serving you here at d'Omah and I'm glad that you got to experience the warm service of our staff for d'Omah is an imperfect place but that's where the staff service complete the imperfectness. We truly appreciate our guests who are like you, have a good taste in seeing and finding beauty in unusual things. d'Omah is indeed built with very much Javanese, contemporary and rustic style. The interior and exterior were meticulously designed and arranged by our owner, Pak Warwick Purser and becoming as one of his signature. The carrot cake is just a small piece of how we appreciate you to be part of d'Omah! I really look forward to seeing and welcoming you home again at d'Omah soon. Warmest Regards, Dimas Merdeka d'Omah Hotel Yogyakarta Management

Love the ambience, first impression by the recepsionists was heart-warming. While our room was being made ready, we had an awesome dinner at the restaurant, food was excellently prepared. Waitress and hotel staffs never missed a smile to greet us anywhere within the establishment. We stayed at a room named Khrisna, large windows on two sides facing our private terrace, swimming pool area and garden. Landscape was very well maintain. I absorbed ancient positive energy during our stay. It was rejuvenating. However, hotel management might want to consider having a 24-hour kitchen to accomodate room service order. We did went out of the hotel after midnight to get a late meal. Otherwise, I recommend D’omah Yogyakarta for retreat from daily city routines.

We're glad knowing that you enjoyed your stay with us here at d'Omah and experience our signature javanese characteristic hospitality. d'Omah is indeed located in a village 25 minutes driving to the south from the busy city center of Yogyakarta. Here as you have witnessed and experienced yourself, we give you another side of Yogyakarta where heartwarming welcome is one of the virtues and people greet and smile to you along the way. Thank you for the suggestion of the kitchen 24 hour opening, we are still working out with that plan and will definitely get back to you once we have improved. Beautiful place, beautiful staff, beautiful food and heavenly mosey through the rice paddies at dawn. Deep culture at every turn, along with tiny frogs, enormous roosters and the backbeat of peaceful sweeping in the mornings. Do it.

We spent 4 days at this hotel as a Yogyakarta getaway. It was recommended by friends and we absolutely loved it. It’s beautiful and very well thought out, without being pretentious . It has all one would need and more—mosquito repellent, tea served in the afternoons...lots of thoughtful details in a fabulously tropical and simple but very tasteful setting. The lady in charge of the spa has hands of gold, one of the best massages we’ve ever had, so we had one every day. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the entire structure is helping the community thrive again after the 2006 earthquake. Our stay was so wonderful that I had a major Freudian slip and forgot a jewellery pouch in our room; the staff very kindly and efficiently made sure it got back to me by post and have refused payment for this extra service. I cannot recommend d’ Omah hotel enough if you are travelling to Yogyakarta, Prambanan, and/or Borobudur!
