.Been coming hear every year of my life and it never fails to bring me joy. We keep 4 boats there and this place offers room to all of them. The lake is the cleanest I've been to. The beach is relaxing but the big lake gets a bit cold. The fishing I partook in at the lake was the best i have experienced.

I'm glad you've enjoyed the fishing and boating here-- it is a special place! It is certainly sometimes a bit brisk in Lake Michigan unless you manage to hit the 1 or 2 week "warm" window, but White Lake is usually much warmer! Thank you for the review.

I love this place. The kitchens make it great for people who are staying more than a night or two. Lots of ways to accommodate groups. The fact that a few small boats are available with the rental and that it's so close to both lakes pushes this place into the lead compared with the other places I've stayed in the area.

We have stayed at Water's Edge four years in a row and each year has been a true delight. We have recommended it to our friends and family and will continue to do so. White Lake in front, Lake Michigan behind, Duck Lake just a mile up the road; if water and beaches are your thing, then this is the place for you.

People may misunderstand the circumstances without the following facts: After reserving the unit the previous day, you arrived at 9pm, 4 hours later than you had told us. You inspected the unit, found it desirable, paid for it, then brought in your partner. Within 5 minutes you became rude, disrespectful, and threatening, saying the unit was no longer acceptable, demanding the return of the money you had given just a few minutes after you approved the unit. Instead of keeping all of the money, 2/3 of it was returned to you. Frank is an honest and respectful owner and operator, with 50+ years of appreciative guests.

Been vacationing at Hollisters for 8 years now. So glad I inquired back then. Watch the sunrise over White Lake from your front porch and take a two minute walk to the see the sunset over Lake Michigan from the White Lake channel or go all out and take four minutes to get to the Lake Michigan beach. The White River Light Station museum is three minutes. A beautiful victorian lighthouse/keepers home. With many activities provided and boatslips available on White Lake for your own craft, there's plenty of bells and whistles. Frank is the nicest guy you could meet and he's always on the go with improvements to the lodgings and the White Lake waterfront. I only hope I can get my spot reserved every year.

A great family venue. Beaches, boat docking, sailboats, paddle boat, row boat and more. Clean, well equipped rooms with kitchens available. Owner is accommodating but not to the discomfort of others. Meeting room has inside and yard games available.

My room had a view of both the lake and the channel to Lake Michigan, very pretty and calming. In the morning I looked out on a mulberry tree with birds like orioles, catbirds, woodpeckers eating the berries so close I needed no binoculars. Also enjoyed walking the pier out to Lake Michigan. Very nice.

Frank is wonderful! If you forgot something, he will probably have it. The boats provided, the sports equipment, life jackets, childrens toys, games, and countless other recreational items for all ages to enjoy. The sunsets and sun rises are incredible. If you fish bring your gear to fish right on the pier in front of you!!!! Hey- they are catching some good ones at times. The only thing we request is if you should consider this slice of heaven is all of us that stayed here for years now... is please keep the noise down, no smoking in or around the areas and be respectful!!!!!!

I’ve been staying here since I was a teenager! My family goes every year the owner is great and makes you feel welcomed. Over the years it’s under went some improvements which has done wonders for the place. By improvements I mean on the grounds, the rooms are a bit outdated still. Don’t let that stop you from going because it’s a wonderful place to be.
