This hotel is very quaint with decor in the old lumberjack days; up north, cozy, warm, spacious, clean. ALERT -- they add a fee to your bill for the in-room safe along with tax on that fee. Whether you use it or not, and it's...More
Picked this hotel since it was close enough to the town of Gladwin so we could attend Jeep Creep! Right off the highway, near restaurants, shopping and gas stations. We could not hear traffic but we did hear children running up and down the hallways....More
Stayed here for business, was clean and quiet. However, I am not a fan of 'Northwoods' decor since I live in the UP of Michigan and am surrounded by north woods outside. Since there was an attached restaurant, there was no free/complimentary breakfast, which I...More
We did not have reservations and just pulled off the highway when we felt a need to stop on a road trip.

Everything was great about the hotel except the shower. The shower didn’t seem to have much pressure and the temperature kept fluctuating.
Nice, clean room. Nice decor. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice pool side room and friendly staff.
Beautiful pool area.

The "elevator" was my least favorite thing. Not a regular elevator. A heavy door that opens, then you have to slide open the cage, get in and close the door, then slide the cage shut before it will operate. When you get out, you MUST slide the cage shut before you close the door or the elevator won't respond to the next person who needs it. It feels very claustrophobic... but... it's an elevator. This trip I was with my disabled mother so we had to use it. If not for that I would have used the stairs.
