Off the beaten track, for sure (some unpaved roads). But absolutely worth the drive. This exquisite home offers all the amenities you could ask for - warm & cozy rooms, scrumptious breakfasts, views that go on forever. Proprietors Gail & Paul go out of their way to assure

This was the best B&B to go to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is in the middle of nowhere, but close enough to hiking/ski trails, wine tasting, shopping and restaurants that you don't feel too secluded. Paul and Gail are wonderful hosts and made our stay very

We came mainly because I'd read about this place being off the grid. Very cool to experience life on wind and solar power--mostly a seamless transition since there's plenty of electricity and Internet on-demand. No cell service due to remote location, not lack of electricity.

"All the rooms have magnificent views and are lovely. Bathrooms are easily accessible."
"Best Views, Quiet rooms"
"only saw the Grandmother room, which was great"
"All three suites have vistas to the South, East, West, or North depending on their location in the B&B. The North Star Suite is by far the largest suite with two queen beds and a couch and its own private bath. Grandmother's garden has a king bed and its own bathroom. The Starlight Suite has a twin and trundle bed and would be ideal for children because this suite serves as the B&B's video and game library. All rooms have windows with screens and ceiling fans. Northern Michigan nights rarely require a/c and evening breezes are pleasant. Being off-grid and in the middle of a forest - the star gazing is amazing!"
