Peaceful setting in West Michigan Woods. Knotty pine interiors, custom wood furniture, and Log cabins. Use the fishing ponds or fish on the river - just outside the door of many of the 15 cabins. Pool, shuffle board, teepee, hiking trails. Community fire pit, but campfires not allowed at individual cabins.

Our family of six adults and 4 children enjoyed a long weekend in Barothy's Beaver Lodge, situated right on the Pere Marquette River. The main floor of the lodge had 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, and a fully stocked open kitchen/living area with a fireplace and a large outdoor deck, outside. The upstairs had 2 more bedrooms and a full...

Very kind of you to take the time to write such a positive (and informative!) review of your time at Barothy. We're very happy to hear that you found the place well-kept, and most importantly, had a great time. Good job spying the eagle! We hope you learned where the nest is, just off of Red Trail. (ask the office...

Just to be sort of gloating, this is such an experience I can not do justice in describing this place of tranquility with nature and the surrounding grounds, this is my 4th birthday weekend visiting this place "in God's country"... you will see eagles, ducks, geese, deer, and song birds of all types here... I do this to renew my...

The Barothy Lodge is nestled in a forest With incredible species of fowl, deer, turkeys, swans and squirrels! The lodges are beautifully decorated, each have their own bird feeders that allow close encounters with woodpeckers, finches, blue jays, cardinals and many more. The lodges come equipped with all necessities except televisions! However with all the wildlife there is no need...

My family has rented a lodge here off and on for about 15 years. Came back this year and it was even better. Miles of trails thru the woods and along the river. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Lodges even have their own stocked bird feeders. Inside you only need to bring your food as everything else is provided in...

I have been a Barothy customer for many years and have enjoyed my many stays! However; on our recent stay, the heat went out on a very cold day. We called and left a message, but no one ever got in touch and the office staff addressed it when they came in the following morning. Needless to say, there should...

We take guests' comfort seriously and this boiler failure was very unfortunate and rare. As soon as our staff was made aware action was taken. Had the guests walked the few yards to the office and pushed the after-hours bell the repairman would have been on property in no more than an hour. As it happened, the message was discovered...

Our family celebrated my mother's 90th birthday at Whitetail Lodge at Barothy. It was an absolute amazing experience! The lodge is gorgeous and every little detail is thought out. We stayed one night but wish we could have stayed for a week. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Guest services at the Lodge were so prompt with answering all my...

Our semi-large family has been coming to Barothy for 11 years, and every year it always impresses. It is very unique, away from everything, and it is a nice way to escape from society for a little bit. It is about 30 mins from Ludington though, which is nice in case you need to go to Meijer, etc. We've been...

We had a family reunion here in july 2012! After searching for a placethis fit our family perfectly! We had family from out East, out West, midwest coming so it had to be a place that had airport access and car rentals. The lodges ranged in size from 1 bedroom to 9 bedrooms. The lodges were in a woodsy back...
