Recommend for quick weekend getaway, couples massage, strolls to/along the beach, warming by the kakelugns on a cold winter's day/night - fabulous! Thank you to everyone at Inn at Union Pier for making our stay so wonderful!!
I was a guest at Union Pier Inn as Covid restrictions were being lifted, but with many rules still in place. During my stay there were only four rooms booked at this amazing inn. Social hour was replaced with a complimentary bottle of wine and individually wrapped cookies/popcorn for the taking. There was a breakfast served in the morning, each table strategically spaced, plus amazing and very accommodating staff. The hot tub was unavailable, but there were complimentary bicycles and beach chairs for use.The well-maintained rooms are charming and clean with outdoor sitting areas and pretty garden views. Given the low occupancy, the inn was very peaceful. Open all year, the area has a lot to offer. It is a short drive to New Buffalo and Sawyer, a short walk to the lake (and Red Arrow Roadhouse) plus conveniently located near seasonal u-pick farms and sports, hiking, wineries, distilleries and restaurants. NOTE: The surrounding neighborhood has grown and with it comes traffic (of the automobile, delivery truck and people-kind). The beach is across the street, but requires a reasonable walk down a dune path to access it. I would definitely return and highly recommend.…
Great place to celebrate your Birthday. I have celebrated my Birthday 3 different years. I know everyone will be friendly and willing to assist with anything we needed. This has been our go to place in Michigan for years.
Always enjoy this area and the Inn is a fabulous place to stay and relax. The wine hour is fun - meet new people - or have a quiet sip or two. Breakfast is very good and snacks are available all day. Enjoyed the comfort of our room and it was a plus having a balcony to sit out on and enjoy reading or a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. The beach was steps away. New Buffalo was a quick drive. Went to the beach there too. Lots of great restaurants and fun. Going back this year with friends hopefully, if we ever get unquarantined!
