Everything that you really want in a hotel. This hotel was in a great location near a lot of good restaurants. The rooms were updated and very clean ( no carpet, which I prefer) The bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot with plenty of water pressure. This Marriott will be our go to place to stay when we visit the Troy / Birmingham area.

I want to make sure that Ms.Brenda, Ceej, Irina and Mr. Vern get the credit that they deserve! The best hostel customer service I’ve ever dealt with! I had an issue to where my room was cancel Thursday before I got here that Saturday. I called and spoke with Mr.Brenda and she gave me her word that everything would be ok. Now you know how people will just tell you anything these days to get you off the phone. So I was skeptical that everything would go smooth at check in. So I arrive Saturday ready to cry my eyes out just in case things didn’t workout but when I got to the counter CeeJ and Irina made everything smooth as butter! From the complementary water to just being so informative about the hotel and what they have to offer. But then it gets even better… so it’s time for dinner and so we got on the shuttle that Mr.Vern was driving and he took us there and back to the restaurant. All of this happened on day 1!! The room was super clean and no funny smell. It was just perfect. Please make sure EVERYONE gets a raise because they deserve it! I haven’t even completed my stay just yet but that’s how good the service was I had to get on here to make a review!

I would never recommend this hotel. I had a reservation to check in on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the manager made the decision to cancel my reservation without any notice and left my family stranded on the busiest holiday weekend of the year. She was completely unapologetic and told me it was my problem to deal with. Please stay away from this property.

Good afternoon. Thank you for your feedback. The situation you described is truly disappointing and it is unfortunate that this was the result the of the events that occurred with your group prior to your arrival. I am happy to discuss any further concerns on the matter directly. Warm Regards, Jacklynn Brock jacklynn.brock@marriott.com

The room was very clean and wheelchair accessible. Our son is in a wheelchair so we booked a King guest room with a roll-in shower (wheelchair accessible). We requested more towels and toilet paper before we arrived at the hotel and the items were waiting in our room when we got there. The front seat staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel overall was very clean and quiet, which was nice. There are many food and shopping options right around the hotel. We will definitely stay here again, but we will try to find a portable bench for our son to sit on during his shower. There were a few areas that need improvement at this hotel… 1. Housekeeping Service - We requested for our room to be cleaned and towels changed when we left for the day. When we got back to the room in the morning evening, our room had not been cleaned. We request towels and housekeeping brought them up right away (less than 10 minutes) and dumped our trash immediately. 2. Shower Bench - The bench in the shower was wood with a metal base that looked like it needed to be replaced (rusting). 3. Dated Decor - The other thing is that the hotel furnishings (especially in the room), looked about 8-10 years old.

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to post about your stay with us here in Oakland County. We also wanted to thank you for offering your valuable feedback which will help us to improve. Regarding the in-room decor, the entire property with the exception of our event space, was completely renovated in 2018. We apologize for any disappointment in that area. Thank you once again and we do hope to see you again soon.

The worst hotel service I have ever seen! Not only the staff at front desk is rude… the room is dirty, the bed and pillows are beyond uncomfortable. Literally the worst Marriott property I have ever been to.

I recently stayed one night at the Troy Marriott for work, and I was pleased with every aspect of the hotel. My room was on the eighth floor and had been recently renovated, and it was aesthetically beautiful and very comfortable. My check-in process was seamless, the hotel gym had plenty of equipment (and two water coolers, which I always appreciate), and the hotel bar was a fantastic place to rewind after a day of work meetings and meals. I was very impressed by the exemplary service Jo provided at the bar, and her protege Laura appeared to be a quick study as well. Jo's attentiveness resulted in my purchasing two drinks (instead of the one I had planned on having), and she seems to know all of the customers at the bar. Great experience, and I intend to return when work sends me that way next!

I made my reservation on line using my membership and Military rate (retired US Marine). On my way to the hotel, I checked my reservation on the app and discovered we had been upgraded to the MClub/Concierge level! At check in I asked how we gained access to the lounge and was told we were upgraded but did not have access to the amminities. I was told by the manager that we were upgraded because they didn't have any other rooms available and even though my reservation said MClub because I booked using my military benefit we could not have access to the Mclub lounge. He was absolutely deadset on not letting us use the benefit that he down graded us to what I had oiginally purchased. Thought there were no other rooms available. Wait staff at the bar was wonderful. Only one regular, one decaf coffee in the 2-queen bed room. Lots of hair on the bathroom floor and front of tub. Outdoor pool was freezing (July), but really clean. I take much pride in mine, my husband and my son's military service and all those who have served. I always look to do business with those that support our troops. Due to the attitude of this one manager, the representative of the Marriot Name, I will no longer give my business to a company that blatantly does not support our troops.

1st room smelled awful and had to change rooms. Went half asleep to grabbing coffee this morning to have Ana the breakfast attendant ask me if I was alright. Her tone was so off I asked why and she said I didn't look alright. Way to start the day of a guests vacation. The rooms were breaking apart from the wear and tear. The 1st bathroom was missing the seal partially and literally pieces of the floor and frame were breaking up with holes. Grateful to be moved to the 2nd room. Annoying to let management know what happened with Sara the attendant and he said no she just doesn't understand English. She spoke to me in English telling me I do not look good yet for some reason she doesn't understand English and I am wrong. Listened to Ana speak and interact with other guests in English so she definitely understands the words she chooses to use. My boyfriend spoke to Ana in Spanish to be spoken English in response not continuing the Spanish response to his question to her in Spanish. All in all highly offended and unimpressed. Spent entirely way too much money to start my day like this.

Overall a mediocre hotel with absolute horrible service, had to get into an unnecessary argument with front office just to get rooms cleaned.. upon checking in they asked if rooms need to be cleaned and we said yes. The next day they refused to clean the room despite us having to say rooms needed to be cleaned .

Very nice updated hotel. Largest room can fit 4, but we were able to have connecting rooms for our larger party. GREAT shower head and appreciate the sustainable multi use toiletries. Very close to an upscale shopping mall with free hotel shuttle service. Plenty of on site parking, great open bar for hanging out in the evenings. Many near restaurants as well. Polite / friendly service. Comfortable beds. Good value for the price.
