The staff was very friendly. The rooms are very outdated. They have a very old feel and are not at all cozy. The balcony was filthy. The locker room and pool were really old and dirty. That being said, the location is great. Definitely not worth the $377 a night rate.

My first stay at the Park Place Hotel was lovely! My priorities for high marks are: Cleanliness Comfortable bed with good linens Thick towels The Park Place hit the mark on all counts! I can honestly say the it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, (I even unmade the bed to find out the mattress maker).... More

Stayed three nights and the room was adequate but the hotel overall is in need of a reno. One strong positive is its prime location one block south of the downtown shopping/restaurant core which saved on parking. The WiFi was good and the linen service was very prompt each day.

We stayed here for two nights recently for a conference. While the location is great for walking around downtown, it's hard to justify the price when you look at what you are getting. The whole place could use a complete renovation. Old carpet, small bathrooms, poor sound insulation, etc. We were awakened the first morning to our neighbor's alarm beeping... More

Cons: older construction, small bathrooms, poor water pressure in the shower, no full length mirror in the rooms, no safes in the rooms. For the price I would have expected higher thread count bedsheets (bed was still very comfortable though) and better toilet paper. Pros: great location walking distance to everything, rooftop lounge with great views, safety boxes available, industrial... More

The soles of our feet turned black from just walking in our room! The common areas could use some cleaning as well, especially the elevator. That being said it is a great old hotel in the perfect location but it has seen better days.

I have stayed here several times; it is one block from Front Street where most of the shops and restaurants are located. There is free parking and you don't need a car for any of the activities in the town center or the waterfront. It is centrally located for car trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Benzonia, Frankfort, etc.,... More

This is my second stay at this hotel. The first time, I stayed in the older part, which I did love - well-maintained, lovely furniture, older type setting. This time I stayed in the newer addition which is over the parking area. My room had 2 queen beds, a nice, big, room, and a small balcony looking toward the bay.... More

The only thing good about this hotel is the location...the rooms need a serious face-lift, the bathroom was very small like a closet, the toilet seat was stained and chipped, the deck was rusty and gross...it will fall off soon...I could go on and on. Do your self a favor and stay at one of the many beautiful and newer... More

The only thing good about this hotel is the location.. It is old and way over-priced. The bathroom is like a closet, the toilet was stained and the seat was chipped, the deck was rusty and gross, no mirrors in the room, I could go on and on...the staff was nice but that was about it. Do yourself a favor... More
