Laurie and Scott are experienced innkeepers who are friendly, knowledgeable of the area and provide a great breakfast. Both guest rooms are very nice and the common areas are inviting. If we had had bad weather we would have been happy to spend our days there with good books. Location is excellent for accessing many great restaurants, both Lelaunau and Old Mission Peninsulas and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

A Breath of Heaven is in a great location for exploring the entire Traverse City area, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, and the Leelanau peninsula as well. Scott is a great cook! We really enjoyed his breakfasts and getting acquainted with him. Our suite was quiet, clean, spacious, and comfortable. We hope to return soon!

2023 has been a sucky year! Our friend Anne (who accompanies us to this B&B) and us (Jim and I) experienced some life changing events this year but managed to work in our two weeklong stays at A Breath of Heaven (February and October). What a place! I've written many reviews and seems like I can never say enough about what a wonderful place this is. From the quiet, cozy setting to being close to everywhere in Traverse City to the amazing breakfasts and entertainment that accompany them – we just can't find a place we enjoy more!! Our hosts Scott and Laurie have become true friends and have treated us way above our expectations! It feels like home!! Thanks Scott and Laurie – See you in February!!

Once again it was a great visit with guests who have become wonderful friends that feel like family! You were a great way to wrap up a crazy, busy Summer/Fall season. Of course, we're excited to have you already scheduled for February during our Winter season. I'll pull out some old breakfast favorites for you and maybe add a couple of new ones. Until then...CHEERS!

Just got home from a two night stay at Breath of Heaven and can’t wait to go back! We originally chose this B&B based on location and we were not disappointed. It was so close to Traverse City, Leland, wineries, etc… but far enough out from the hustle and bustle of the city. Scott and Laurie (owners) are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and we enjoyed our conversations with them. Scott made us an absolutely wonderful breakfast each morning and was so accommodating with my “little bit of coffee in my cream” preference. We 100% recommend the beautifully rustic Breath of Heaven if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay.

My husband and I stayed at Breath of Heaven for 4 nights. Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful setting and took advantage of the nice great room, the balcony on the back and the front porch. It's location was convenient for getting to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore to hike and to Traverse City for dinners. Scott gave us good suggestions for where to go for dinner.

We recently returned from our 5th stay!! We started out with a weekend in 2021 and now make this a week-long stay twice a year. The place is so homey and hosts Scott and Laurie definitely make it feel like home! We experienced some life-changing events before our stay this time and this was just the place we needed to be for healing and comfort with much of our time spent in the Great Room! Breakfast was amazing as always and morning chats were fun and sometimes downright entertaining!!! Jim always enjoys his time in the loft perusing all of the books that your little library offers! If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Traverse City, this B&B should definitely be tops on your Iist cause it sure is on ours!!
