This was the perfect choice for our mini-vacation. We were delighted to find our cottage very clean, quant and reasonably priced. We could not beat the location it was close to everything. We enjoyed wine and beautiful deck views at Brys & Chateau Chantal winery’s and great meals at Apache Trout and Bubba’s. Thanks John!

Our cottage was very efficient, clean and so cute. If you like big rooms and lots of space or you have a large group, you would probably find this a challenge. For two people looking for a peace, beautiful water and healthy clean air, I recommend the Anchor Inn without hesitation. Each cottage has a tree, picnic table, outdoor grill and easy parking. We had a nice firm bed, good appliances, good water pressure and all the needed kitchen items to prepare meals if desired. The water is right across the road and the property owns two private beach areas with plenty of chairs. The owners were very, very nice and took care to resupply all needs every day. I loved the Anchor Inn! It was one of those places I simply didn't want to leave. It may be on the small side but its heart is as big as it gets. We will happily return!

Our first time in Traverse City and Anchor Inn on the Bay is perfect. Great value, quiet and close to town and other sites like Old Mission Lighthouse and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We rented a small cottage # 114 and had all we needed. Our host John provided excellent service and tips on the area. The beach is across the road and rocky but sandy beaches are close by. I highly recommend Anchor Inn on the Bay especially if you want some quiet instead of staying in the busy but fun Traverse City

We stayed here with my 6 year old and 9 year old. They enjoyed the little cottage. It was a very small cottage but we made it work. It was very clean. The kids loved the play ground and we had a fire on the property each night. I was looking for a place that was on the water and not too expensive. I understood it was across the street but know that it is a very busy street. The traffic noise also is not to be missed. We didnt hear it at night when sleeping, but its very noticeable. However, this goes for anywhere is Traverse City. We did not use the beach as it was almost nonexistent bc the lakes are very high this year. All this is not the fault of the property at all. Just know this if you are traveling this summer to the area. Owners were very kind. We would stay again if we came back to the area.

This is an old school motel, that had few amenities. but was clean. Small areas, even a challenge for a 175lb height weight proportionate male to use the bathroom. Neighbors are close so door opening and closing was very noticeable. But host was friendly and one of the more affordable peak season hotels in the area.
