The breakfasts are spectacular. Often the "breakfast" part is given short shrift. Not here. The setting is lovely and your hosts will bend over backwards to help you enjoy your stay. If you've never been to Traverse City, go. I was surprised how cool it is.

My wife and I had the opportunity to get away for a couple of days, and we were so fortunate to stay at the Grey Hare Inn. Cindy and Jay are absolutely THE best hosts. A few minutes after we checked in, we felt as though we had known them for many years. The house is marvelous, the room was... More

My husband and I and another couple spent three night at Grey Hare Inn. Our stay was lovely. Cindy had a substitute inn keeper, Susie, for our first two nights. Susie was outstanding and very welcoming. Breakfasts were delicious and held us for most of the day. Sitting out in the back of the house looking out on the vineyards and... More

What a great place to visit. Cindy and Jay were amazing hosts that made my stay very enjoyable. The location is ideal for hitting the wineries and also taking to TRAVERSE CITY for some local fare. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the beautiful views.

A vacation near home is still a vacation - staying at a nearby B and B with excellent hosts, accommodations and meals is an added plus! A 7-mile drive up Old Mission Peninsula with Lake Effect whiteout at times made it interesting but we made it and enjoyed all that a winter landscape could provide once we arrived. Our hosts,... My partner and I just got back from a weekend stay at the Grey Hare Inn and it was perfect. Honestly, we're typically a little wary of staying in a B&B as sometimes the hosts are "too" friendly and the decor is too much but the Grey Hare Inn was just right. Cindy and Jay were the perfect hosts with... More

Cindy and Jay were wonderful hosts. We both felt welcomed the moment we stepped out of our automobile. We learned so much about the region, its history, and transformation into a significant wine growing region. We were guided to the best choices of restaurants even arranging for us the best seat in the house in the nearby Boathouse restaurant. The... More

We stayed at the Grey Hare Inn for a weekend celebration for our 34th anniversary. Jay and Cindy were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. They left for vacation on Saturday and Jeanette was our innkeeper for the rest of our stay. She, too, was friendly. The food was delicious and the inn was very clean, We thought the pillows... More
