This place was an incredible deal. Although not located in the center of Traverse City, it was located close to the beaches on the East Bay. The price was a steal. The hotel room was more like a small condo: it had a small living room, a refrigerator, microwave, oven and cupboards full of cooking utensils. The bedroom was in... More

The Inn was a comterbale place to stay.. pretty clean for an older Inn. We did like the layout of the two story room. Big room upsatairs with Two full beds that worked well for our 3 kids. we didn't use the outdoors pool but it also look well maintained. We would stay again.

We often make day trips to Traverse City, but on Thursday night (May 16th, 2013), we decided to make an overnight trip. I booked a room at this hotel and had no idea what to expect. I read some reviews and they looked fantastic, but it isn't until you stay yourself, that you know what a hotel is like. This... More

After reading all the great reviews on tripadvisor I decided to give this place a try. Best idea ever. The price couldn't be beat AND we were able to reserve the jacuzzi room. It was so convenient having a mini kitchen as well. Perfect location and the rooms were very clean and comfy. This will definitely be the place we... More

We stayed at Traverse Bay Inn last Aug/Sept. I had my one year old and four year old with us. We checked in and got settled for the night, finally got the baby to sleep in a strange place..and my husband and I's room ceiling started leaking on us while we were in bed. Our bed was soaked from the... More

I wish to apologize again for not being able to help you in a better way on August 27th of last summer. As I had confirmed with you now almost 7 months ago when we spoke after your departure the late arriving guest in the room above the room you were in took a shower with the shower curtain out... This was a great place. The bedroom was a separate room from the main room and had a real nice little kitchen area which we didn't use as we only stayed one night. The room(s) were very clean and had a very comfortable home atmosphere. Staff at the front desk both on check-in and check-out were very friendly as well.

I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay. We stayed for a few days during the week before Labor Day in August 2012. We booked a Jacuizzi Suite for a very reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable. Honestly, the amenities here can't be beat for the price! We were very comfortable and loved the kitchenette in our room where we could store a few things in... More

We stayed at Traverse Bay Inn for two nights, encompassing our anniversary in mid-October. We read the reviews on T.A. and decided to give it a whirl. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out how lovely this place is - for just $44 per night plus tax we had a two-level accommodation. The top floor had two double beds... More

Traverse Bay Inn is a great place to stay. We have stayed twice and will certainly be back again. The rooms are spaceous. The beds are comfortable. The staff is awesome. The rooms are always very clean. It is like a home away from home. I also appreciate the nice little fully stocked kitchen area. Great for a quick meal... More

Chose this place based on TripAdvisor recommendations. Didn't disappoint. Unique room set up (2 full beds upstairs, 1 queen downstairs) gave privacy. Kitchen was an excellent extra, and saved us from having to live out of coolers and eat out/go to the store constantly. It had everything we needed: papertowel, dishcloth, dish towel, cups, plates, etc. Maybe a wine opener... More

Thanks for your nice comments, observations, and suggestions! We're coming into our slower season so as per usual we have lots of new things planned for the rooms and grounds. We do projects and renews every year and thanks to our loyal return and new guests like you we have had another great summer which equates to a full to-do... More
