Our first time here, and will always be our pick in the future !!! A little apartment, home feel !! Queen bed downstairs, king bed and Jacuzzi upstairs, LOTS of closet space, kitchenette 3 TV's throughout, etc. Clean, very reasonable $$$ and very quiet. The bedrooms are toward the back so you don't hear parking lot traffic. Very quiet inside, don't hear people next to you. Would love to try a summer time visit since the pool area is nice. Staff was exceptionally nice, on the phone and in person !!

Spent two nights and was very pleasantly surprised at the value of the Inn. Had a one bedroom unit with a small kitchen and sitting area. Not fancy but very well maintained and quiet. Staff was gracious and welcoming. Best value I've ever gotten in Traverse City.

We stated 9/30 thru 10/1/19. Friendly front desk reception and cleaning people. We had everything we needed in our room. Our 7# Malti-poo dog stayed with us too for a small additional charge. Although the cleaning people don't do daily housekeeping when you have a dog with you, we were able to get towels and anything we needed as they were more than helpful. We loved that they had bikes we could ride, although we didn't have time to use them but maybe next time. We made breakfast every morning in our kitchenette. They had all the pots/pans and silverware we needed. Also made lunch and had a picnic at the motel picnic table. We love the mom and pop hotels instead of the chain hotels. We love that we can drive right up to our motel door. We will be back as it had everything we needed and price was reasonable during the week. Thank you for a wonderful stay Traverse Bay Inn!

This place is really old and the furnishings & carpeting in the room we stayed looked very worn. There were balls of dust behind the headboard of the bed. Flying gnats as soon as we walked in and dead bug on bathroom floor. For $159 which we paid for one night, we expected much better quality as we are accustomed to. No frills, no breakfast. I would not recommend a stay there.

We stay at Traverse Bay Inn every time we come to Traverse City because the prices are good (if you stay on a weekday as opposed to weekend), the rooms are spic & span, the beds comfortable, they are all efficiencies (so you could save by cooking yourself if you wanted) and the staff (Megan in particular) are super helpful and friendly. They offer free bikes to ride and though we've been coming for several years we've never used them, but we did this time and it was an enjoyable way to spend part of the day, plus we found a good restaurant along the way (Red Mesa). We like this place because it's a good location, dependable and clean.
