This is your third year visiting Traverse City, and every year we visit one of the wineries, do a tasting, and buy a bottle. This year we went to Chateau Chantal. We did the 6 wine tasting. They have a very wide range of wines available, so being able to taste 6 worked well. Wound up buying a bottle of... More

We can't say enough of the Chateau. The winery/inn sits up on a hill overlooking vineyards. You would think you were in France. We stayed there for three days. The people that work there are wonderful. They always had a smile on their faces even though, in the tasting room, they could be overwhelmed. I have been in many inns... More

Out of the many wineries we visited, Chateau Chantal was definitely my favorite. If you like a really really sweet wine, you must try their ice wine. It does cost $5.00 for a taste, but def worth it....They have a beautiful patio with lots of seating with the most gorgeous view. Although we didn't eat there, we did buy the... More

This winery/b and b is a beautiful property. There is no doubt about that. Our room which was in the main building was at best average. The morning breakfast and the special wine pairing dinner we attended were absolutely first rate. What spoiled our arrival was the attitude of the office person who showed us to the room. We were... Greetings, Thank you for the review, I'm so sorry the front desk attendant was not welcoming. You are right, it is her JOB to be so. We would like to get to the bottom of who it was. We did not find a reservation tied to your city and state as shown in the review profile, please let us know... More

There are 9 wineries on the peninsula. This was the one we decided to visit. It was beautiful and the view was absolutely breathtaking! The cost was affordable We did not have any of the tasting bites

Starting with champagne and an informative, interesting our evening at Chateau Chantel was so much more than we ever expected. Chef Reuben's courses were all delectable, the wine pairings delicious (each coming with their own story by Mike) and our table mates were interesting and, amazingly, we all had something in common! We ended the beautiful evening talking by the... More

Stopped here with my sister on our wine tour. I've always wanted to stop, but know I'm disappointed I did. The only thing going for this place is the view, which was beautiful. But the service in the tasting room was disappointing. The wines were also disappointing. Not worth the hype.

Hello, I'm so sorry to hear your experience with us did not meet expectations. While the matter of wine taste is subjective based on the person, service is not. I'm very sorry that we did not perform up to the standards that are set and ingrained into our staff. Thank you, Marie-Chantal Dalesel More

While you almost always have to wait to taste. It's worth it. They have a large selection from which to choose. Staff are nice and friendly. Good selection of gifts for the wine drinkers in your circle. Always a must stop when in the area. Beautiful views from all sides.

Very nice B&B located on the peninsula north of Traverse City with great views of the bay. The local wine is good and can be sampled at the on-site winery. Rooms are clean and cozy. Large patio overlooking vineyard and water.

Let me start by saying that I never felt fancier! Mike who gave us the tour of the facility was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was also an excellent host for the dinner and wine pairing. The view for dinner is breathtaking as you can overlook the vineyards. The food prepared by their head chef, Reuben, was amazing. The portions... More
