We stayed at Chateau Chantal the week of Thanksgiving as our plans to go visit family were cancelled due to Covid concerns. We had previously visited the winery portion for a tasting in July and knew we wanted to come back. To start, the inn is updated very nicely and is welcoming upon arrival. The front desk receptionist showed us around and let us know how everything worked, including the self-serve wine after hours for guests. Breakfast in the mornings was great! Plenty of food, you have a scheduled time to pick it up and bring it back to your room to eat. Even as a picky eater (who hates onions/too much garlic) there was always at least 2-3 things on my plate I enjoyed. I really appreciated that they had a mix of some more flavorful offerings and standards such as toast, bacon and pastries. Our room had a nice table which was helpful for eating takeout with the new covid restrictions in Michigan. The room was clean and the inn was quiet after hours. The Cezanne suite had the most beautiful view of the sunset and sunrise. I highly suggest this room if you plan on staying. Make sure you take a stroll around the building to see all of the art work and take advantage of plentiful wine available to you.

An impromptu birthday road trip turned out so perfect! An amazing property-relaxing, quiet, peaceful, gorgeous views, hospitality, comfy, and delish wine. Breakfast was tasty, super Covid conscious. Thank you CC, we can’t get back soon enough 🍷

Stopped here on a Tuesday. You pay at the door ($12.60 for a flight includes tax and tip), then go to the bar to get your flight. I liked that they were pre-selected for the type of wine you like. Then you had to go outside to enjoy. This is the largest winery I have been to with views of the East Bay on one side and the West Bay on the other. You could sit outside by a fire or inside a tent with a heater. Lots of space. Beautiful property.

The views are spectacular wand every where you look you can see Lake Michigan. We enjoyed some lovely wines on the large outdoor patio. The people were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the wines. Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Michigan. Thanks so much Chateau Chantal Winery!

Wine is mediocre at best. Restroom dirty and no paper towels. When I let the woman at the front lobby desk know, she completely ignored me, didn’t utter a word. Would not go back. A waste of time and money.
