We've gone wine tasting in TC for 7 years and the Mission wineries have always been our favorites. And Chateau Chantal was one place we really looked forward to visiting because of the spectacular view from its deck (and good wine) but our last two visits have been extremely disappointing. Two years ago we decided to go elsewhere when we... More

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear from you that our experience was not up to par. We, as well as many service businesses in the area, have in fact experienced a shortage of labor this year. We are currently hiring and trying our best to keep pace. Our lines are usually 10 minutes or so, never 45 minutes long, I'm... More

The winery has great wines. I bought a few of the Reds. There is a small area for kids to play to keep them entertained. I believe the 2012 Pinot Noir Reserve was my absolute favorite. It was our second favorite winery of the Mission Point Peninsula.

Really expected something special with all the hype & media coverage......they failed to deliver on so many levels. They lost me with wine tasting......rushed us thru what should have been relaxing experience....no discussion of their wines....all we heard was 'what do you want next'. They couldn't care less about our experience....only collecting the fee. The wines were horrible.....perhaps the experience... More

Hello, I'm so very sorry to hear about your experience with us. This is not what we are about. If you would be willing to provide me with some details about the time of your visit and server description, we can better train this person. The place was lovely, but our room was horrible. It was in the old side of the inn. Very small, furniture, old and tired, no private outdoor space, the windows opened onto the public tasting room area. The new side of the hotel was large and had private balconies. There are 8 new rooms and 3 old ones, no comparison.... More

Hello, We're very sorry your stay with us was not as expected. It's true, we have 3 rooms that are part of our original building constructed in 1993. These rooms have been re-done within the past few years, adding spacious new showers and granite counters throughout. Since these rooms do not have a private balcony and are smaller in size... More

My mom, sisters, and I stayed in the executive suite at Château Chantel. It was beautiful and there was plenty of space for all of us. The staff was wonderful and the morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect place to stay for our wine tasting weekend. We will definitely be back.

If you a going to Traverse City to taste some wines, you definitely need to consider Chateau Chantal. There are others but you need to add this to one of your stops. They did a great job in answering all our questions. I am sure the questions have all been asked before but they did a great job and went... More

Wow, just gorgeous, this place has it all! The wines are lovely, but the view of the vineyards kick it up a notch. You can enjoy your wine on the patio with light appetizers, and the there are the beautiful suites. You can make this your home base and tour wine country. A lovely get away

I was very surprised at the excellent wine- I didn't even know they produce wine in Michigan. Pleasant surroundings, wine tasting, and you can sit out on the patio with great views. The staff is polite and not pushy, and the facility is excellent.

Took a tour and learned about the history. The 7 course meal was outstanding! Room was nicely decorated with a fantastic view. Great experience. Everyone was friendly and informative. We definitely plan on returning.

We spent the day on Old Mission Peninsula and this was one of our favorite wineries. Beautiful view and awesome patio. Wine is good too. Our next goal will be to stay at the Inn. I do agree with others, our hostess wasn't the friendliest, but everyone has a bad day!

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to share your review with us. I'm sorry your server was not on the ball during your visit, and for understanding the pressure of serving so many people in one day. We do offer extensive customer service training and I'm sorry to hear that wasn't delivered to you. We hope you'll consider us again... More
