This is a wonderful place to relax and play with family. With grandkids ages ranging from 16 to 3 there was enough for everyone to do. The lake was so clear and cabins and outside area was clean and well kept. The boats available to rent are in great condition and makes for a great day for tubing and fishing. Close enough to go on day adventures too. Made smores in the fire pit every night. They have three kayaks that are guests can take out any time to a little island that you can go explore.

Cabin #9 is a fantastic place for a big group gathering. There were enough beds and a pull out couch to sleep 10 people. The log cabin is gorgeous and has a gigantic deck for outdoor entertaining. Just steps away from the shore of Spider lake, and about 20-25 minute drive from downtown Traverse City. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy a weekend or a week. You can even rent kayaks, paddle boards, or a pontoon boat! Absolutely loved it and plan to be back.

Cabin 3 was rundown and dirty. Sloping and pealing floors, water leaks in the ceiling which made it have a musty smell, dirty dresser drawers, and that is just a couple of things. We couldn't use the porch because it was never cleaned off. Rain water and tree debris filled the chairs, along with tree debris and dirt on the table. Had some other issues that they did take care of for us, but cabin 3 is not worth the money. The lake is great though! Had family staying in two of the houses. They were in a lot better shape than ours.

We rented the majority of the cabins for our visit and some were very nice while others were not. Cabins 2 and 3 were dirty with stains on the floor. We stayed in cabin 3 and could not even put our 1 year old down in the cabin because the floors were so lopsided and uneven that it was hard for even myself and husband to walk. Two of the “bedrooms” didn’t have a door and one was simply a walkhrough to the other that they managed to squeeze a twin bed up against the wall. Very disappointing after knowing pricing that we paid similar pricing for that cabin while cabins of the same price were completely redone and renovated and livable.

We booked cabin #9 for the iceman cometh challenge weekend and was overwhelmed with the beauty of this cabin as well as the property. The cabin housed 9 people comfortably. Highly recommend Windjammer on the lake if your ever in Traverse city, MI.

There are 9 cabins on the property and my family rented 6 of them. Each cabin was well equipped with everything you need. The location was the best spot on Spider Lake. There was a nice small beach to enjoy the water, 5 kayaks to tool around the lake, a row boat, and a dock to tie up the rented pontoon boat. I can not say enough great things about this place.

We had a wonderful stay at cabins. The resort is very welcoming and quiet. The lake view from the resort is amazing!!!!!!! Nice place for families: swimming, fishing, kayaking and BBQ in the evening. That is what you wish for on the weekend or could use for the whole week. Come and enjoy!

We were so pleased when we arrived at the log cabin #9, after a 6.5 hr drive from Waterloo ON Canada, it is very impressive! The cabin had ample space, clean and inviting with all the amenities to make it comfortable and relaxing. We arrived Wed. to prepare for our guests, MibSAR search team (6 members) and friends who joined us on Sat. for a home cooked meal and evening of celebration. The search team deserved this, since they found remains of our son, Daniel, after searching in northern Ontario four times since May 2013. The resort owner and the onsite manager made our stay very special. We needed a fairly central location for the searchers to come to, since they were from various parts of Michigan. Windjammer on the Lake was perfect! Our expectations were exceeded. With our gratitude, Don and Maureen Trask, Waterloo ON Canada…

We were traveling with friends and rented the Log Home for 4 nights. The resort is on a quiet lake and is in a beautiful wooded setting. It was too cold weather wise to use the lake, but it sure looked inviting. The amenities of the resort were very well kept and the home we rented was well stocked and maintained. I would stay here again. There is an on the property manager to take care of anything or answer any questions. Great stay and really enjoyed the north woods charm

We were lucky to be able to get reservations for cabins 1 & 2 for a last minute family vacation. Let me say that this place was very clean and amazing location with all the amenities that you could possibly need. They even have a fishing row boat, kayaks, and paddle boat that the guests can use free of charge! My family enjoyed using them and also the great raft located in the lakes sandy area. They have a nice fire pit too. Grills for your use also. I can't say enough about Lori and her kindness and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She really cared that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Thank you for making our last vacation time with the kids before they all head back to college and school so meaningful and memorable! A wonderful time was enjoyed by us all and memories made! We will be back again!…
