Hotel's Favorite
From start to finish our stay at RPTB has been amazing starting with arrival and a smooth check in and welcomed with a cool refreshing rum punch. Was escorted to our rooms and shown how everything worked our cases arrived shortly afterwards. Room was spacious and had everything you could possibly need, toiletries, robes, tea & coffee facilities, optics and a well stocked fridge, kept spotless and cleaned daily. Grounds of the hotel are kept pristine and everyone works so hard. Never have I ever meet more smiling faces and happy to help staff than at RPTB, they really are a credit to the hotel and deff part of what's made our holiday so enjoyable - little shout outs to our girl Judith who kept us hydrated on the beach, Twain at breakfast and lunch always had our morning Mimosa ready and waiting & Brandon at the evening buffet, always service with a smile from all. During our stay we visited the Steak House once, beautiful steak but because it was outdoor was way to hot & humid to enjoy & we ate at the Italian twice both times very nice and so easy to book with the Riu app. We spent all our days at the beach so cant comment on pool areas, did seem at times to be loud but that's because its where a lot of the activities were held I think , animation team seemed fun and tried to get you involved but didn't push if you just wanted to chill. Shows were all of a good standard but the live bands and the steel band were fantastic. Beach vendors are a treat to listen to as they travel up & down the beach also the guys that stop & sing you a song. The beach is to die for absolutely stunning. We did the catamaran trip to Ricks Cafe which is a must. All in all we had the best holiday and really didn't want to leave, keep up the good work and we'll see you soon. Yeh Man …

I have been to many hotels including other Riu resorts but my experience at tropical bay was the most memorable. the food is great. but most importantly the staff was amazing,checking in was a breeze. the grounds are so well kept.Natalee,shereen and Ms williams were the most amazing servers. but the entertainment team was SUPERB. Lady T,Bubbles,advance,superman, black beauty,smallz ensured we had a phenomenal time. even the groundskeepers were friendly. i litteraly cried when i had to leave. 10/10 recommend and definitely will be going back

Had another amazing time at this hotel, despite the Tropical storm while we were there which left lots of sea weed on the beach which hotel was slow to clear. Staff are all amazing and will do anything to make your stay amazing. Good in evenings in buffet is repetitive but good, we exhausted the speciality restaurants and went through all the menus in the 2 weeks we were there, steak we found always inedible (tough) in all restaurants but lots of other choices we had amazing rooms in block 6. We will be back again next year

This resort is always amazing. The beach simply cannot be beat and the staff are so incredibly wonderful. The only thing I noticed this time around is that the food wasn't quite as good. Don't get me wrong, I certainly didn't go hungry but it has been better and more plentiful in the past.

The whole experience was first class, the reception staff were delightful. The bar staff in the Daiquari bar were great, particularly Alicia who was so eager to please all the time. In the buffet restaurant, Daniel and Ioni were outstanding, as were his whole team.

Pro's and Con's or Tropical Bay. First let me say their Cusomer service is over the top. Employees were always willing to help, polite and would take time to help you Upon check we were checked in by Beverly. We had some special request of which she took care of and then tried to do more. Whatever they pay her, its not enough. Over all the hotel is prestine. The booze is good, the buffet is wonderful. One downfall ( this is our opinion) The Asian, Italian, and steak house ( the steak house is just place set aside outside) were a let down. Asian was not what we expected as well as the Italian. The Steak at the Steak house was like shoe leather. In summery would I return, yes. The beach is one of the best in the Caribbean, always had enough chairs at beach and pool.

Amazing resort- I enjoyed that it is slightly smaller than other Riu's and more personable. First off-- if you want to fully experience Negril like a VIP, go to the beach in the morning and find "Franco". Met him first day, and he quickly became our brother. He offered us a full tour off the resort (and after reading great reviews about him, we quickly trusted him). He took us to his farm, went to hang out spots, met villagers, rode motorbike taxi's, had lunch with him, and then toured Negril with a personal taxi. He checks in with us every day to make sure we are well and always had high quality smoke. He took us snorkeling with Captain Nemo on 'Lady Boss Glass Bottom' early in the morning which was amazing! Franco arranged our sunset tour on the 'Little Reefer' for more snorkeling, Rick's Cafe and 7mile beach tour. Other days, he gave us rides on his scooter to the boardwalk for the ATM (it's secure and don't get hassled, plus you can meet his turtle friend) and let me drive too! His sister has a shop along the beach (between the Riu's) and she is very kind, Franco will take you to meet her also. He offered to take us to the island round the corner for a day of swimming and relaxing- but I declined to take a day to melt on the beach. Our last day is tomorrow and we are going back to his farm to meet his mum and have dinner with them, cooked by mum!! He truly keeps you safe, and after spending every morning with him, we got to know many locals on (and off) Bloody Bay beach. We wouldn't get hassled to buy, but everyone would greet us and treat us so well. I'm not gonna lie, we felt extremely special!! Riu staff were incredible. The entertainment staff are so much fun and put their whole heart into every show, the humor is Incredible also. The rooms were always cleaned to perfection…

What a wonderful vacation. I was so impressed with the way Verna treated my mother and I. She knew what time we came to breakfast and had our table set up every morning with the things we liked. Predictable vacation with nice people working hard to make this vacation a nice experience. Food was good but it seemed some stations repeated themselves often with same offer at buffet. Lots of fish but mostly fried with breaded and salted. Best station was the Jerk hut! Meat was a bit overcooked
