The Hotel is very nice the rooms are great it's very clean it's quiet. However the people they have staffing the front desk are less than accommodating. I simply asked the receptionist if I can make a pot of coffee in the afternoon down in the lobby, and she argued with me for about five minutes on why she doesn't...

Not quite to the level of when I first discovered it oh 20+ years ago, but definitely improved. Stayed recently and really enjoyed my comfortably outfitted room, and the convience of the downtown location. The rooms are older--so the tubs are worn, tiles may be cracked--but my room had new furnishings, fresh linens, and a handy kitchenette. A sound machine...

First, a formal thank you to the desk staff. They were great in helping select a room (they are all unique and different room styles) and when our reservations were in jeopardy due to a family illness. The room decor and up keep are average and casual, not luxurious, but the amenities are what we came for and they were...

Thank you! When you call us, we listen, and match our guests to the room or suite that best fits a guest's particular needs, budget and preferences. We are ANYTHING but cookie cutter at Old Harbor Inn! And you are right, our sunsets are amazing! We live life "One Sunset at a Time"

This hotel was very unique and well worth a night's stay. The property is split between several buildings built into the dock right on the river. Its a very cool experience. The room itself was very nice. It appears as if it was updated with a sprinkler system and an updated bathroom. It looks like when it was updated some...

South Haven is such a great town, and Old Harbor Inn is in the heart of it all perched above the Black River Harbor and within walking distance of everything! We are glad you enjoyed your time with us!

We stayed a Thursday and Friday night and were in room #2. Room was nice the layout of the hotel is a little confusing, it's split into different buildings but we got the hang of it quickly. The room was good had a kitchenette and nice sized bathroom, a little outdated but clean which is most important to us. The...

The hotel was ok. The hotel staff was somewhat friendly(No my pleasures said here..:o). They didn't seem to want to be there. Downtown hotels should always have a lot or garage for parking at the property. Their parking lot was down the street and around the corner for $10...lol. What's the point? We got lucky and found parking close by,...

Downtown is somewhat parking challenged on busy weekends, since so many want to enjoy South Haven. All city parking is free. We do lease a small lot around the corner as an paid guaranteed option for our guests. The bright side is once you park, you can walk everywhere! Thank you for bringing the hook to our attention. That room...

Overall, the room was lovely, spacious, and well decorated. Now, the issues. Check in was a long process, as the desk person was interrupted numerous times with calls(lasting up to 5 minutes) other people, and overall, we were at least 20 minutes getting checked in. The room was upstairs overlooking Harbor, and at $169.00 per night, I didn't think a...

The week following Labor Day is very popular, with beautiful weather and lower rates. Prime check-in time can be hectic, especially when you split your invoice 3 ways and each pay cash. We call our private balconies "small" and suited for two guests. Thank you for letting us know the bathroom sink inexplicably had the hot water valve shut off....

Stayed in a harbor view room #️⃣ 31 overlooking the harbor and the idler river boat restaurant. The room was very nice and spacious compared to the other rooms which I thought needed updating. The balcony was very small but fine for one person the chairs were uncomfortable if planning on sitting out for a while. The front desk which included...

I recently stayed in Caboose 1 which is ran by Old Harbor Inn but located down the road. Overall we had a great time. The room is outdated but the location and "fun factor" of the caboose help make up for it. Bonus, a pack and play fits in the shower room! My husband and I also enjoyed sitting out...

Yes, it is a real Caboose! The Caboose has been a very popular and value priced choice, but this year when it was featured among "The coolest uncommon places to spend the night in Michigan" by Mlive online, and as an article in many papers, it became even more popular! We are happy you were able to create family memories...

Everyone has been very nice, from check in & getting ideas of what to do. Our room is a 'budget' room with a 20% discount with two night stay, very nice size, clean and comfortable. Definitely would make reservations again ! The hotel gives us easy access to the 'downtown area' , easy walk to light house peer for sundown,...

Late summer Sundays-Thursdays are a great time to visit South Haven. Often the week or two before Labor Day weekend we do have a multiple weekday night discount. Our guests enjoy a more laid back pace than prime season. We are always happy to give you ideas of places to go and things to eat! #1 our sunsets, of course!...
