We were Leary to stay here due to things being a bit out dated. DO NOT judge a book by its cover!! Our little room was PERFECT!! Cold AC , hot shower, and a fairly comfy bed (nothing is as good as home) we originally booked 1 might and then booked 2 more. It’s close to everything and just felt safe!! We would definitely come back and stay here again. Very cozy!! Thank you for letting us enjoy not only your beautiful state but your quiet slice of heaven!!

We have always had a wonderful time at Jensen's RV Park! The owners are very kind and helpful. They have always generously accommodated our requests when we have celebrated special times there. The facilities are top-notch, making our stay comfortable and easy. So close to South Haven and all the fun that can be had there! ~ Judy Mickley

Jensen's is close to Lake Michigan and South Haven. The park is well kept and quiet.
They have several sites that have your fire pit located across the drive in front of your RV. It's like you have your fire pit in a front yard, & your RV is 40 or 50 feet behind it. We really liked this feature. We could enjoy a huge fire each night with no smoke smell in the RV and no chance of embers landing on our awening. We travel often and this is the first park that we've ever had offer this. Check in is quick they escort you to your site. This was our first time staying here, but definitely not our last! We are already planning a return visit.

Room extremely outdated, mold around tub, broken tiles in bath, shower curtain had a large tear, no hand rails for older persons in bath,,..closet was poorly kept, with what looked like water damage on the floor, When we closed curtain's they fell down .Carpet was old and stained.L.Heater looked like a fire waiting to happen.. The rooms you see in their add are NOT the room we received... Owners' are very friendly and the beds were clean and fairly comfortable..Over all our cabin did not have the quality one would expect for the price..and in much need of a remodel..area is very quiet and relaxing..close to town and the beach..

With all the birds chirping and wildlife that surrounds the beautiful open fields full of trees and morning sunshine, this is totally, heaven on earth! What a beautiful location this is. Only a few minutes away (7min walking) from 1st street beach and only 2 miles away from downtown. Quiet and safe, the best place to be! We love it here!

We had a fantastic stay at Jensens, and truly enjoyed our time in motel until #11. The proprietors are so warm and welcoming, and always there to help. The location is super convenient. Thank you for making our visit to South Haven such a wonderful success!!

Jensen's is a VERY basic "mom and pop" motel that appears to be going through a prolonged renovation. First, the setting: The motel sits on the grounds of a RV trailer park that seems part storage facility, part full-time/weekenders RV park. The owners seem to be giving it a good go, and the manager is very kind, but I must be honest, we almost didn't stay because the surroundings are simply odd. My teen daughters would say it was "sketchy." My wife, (who is not above camping and doesn't require a hotel with room service) was very suspect about my choice of this place. Next, our rooms: we rented two rooms for the five in our family. Both rooms were small, featured surprisingly comfortable beds, had a clean refrigerator, and an assortment of furniture that looked to have been purchased at area garage sales. The bathrooms were small, dated, but clean and the water pressure/showers are great. Everything is mid renovation. While the windows in the room are new and fresh, the windows in the bathroom are old, rusty and feature peeling trim. This sort of represents the entire experience at Jensen's. While parts a great (price, location, friendliness, did I say price?) other parts are rough (setting, office is scary-cluttered, old RVs in storage).
In short, if you are used to camping and staying at independent motels, and can overlook the rough edges, Jensen's is a great value. If you can't, there are plenty of other options in the area.

Just spent a long weekend at Jensen's. Yes, it's small and dated, but also very clean and very affordable. Our room was easily cleaner than most run of the mill chain hotels. Very peaceful and quiet also. Most campers are seasonal and friendly. Anna is a lovely hostess and a joy to talk to. A little bonus is Direct TV with about 200 channels. Not that this is the main reason to come to South Haven.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the motel/cottage rooms and really enjoyed it! We mostly used the room for sleep as we spent a lot of time outside in the lawn getting some sun and taking day trips to the surrounding area. Jensen's is very close to downtown South Haven and several public beaches yet manages to have a peaceful, country vibe. The owners were very nice and hospitable, suggesting a trip to Saugatuck which proved to be quite enjoyable!!
Jensens is a welcome retreat from the boxed-in impersonal feel of chain hotels. We look forward to our next visit!!

If you are looking for or accustomed to the Ritz Carlton, then this is not for you. If you want to laze around a pool, have drinks delivered to you, etc, this is not for you. If you are like me and want a clean comfortable bed with decent linens to sleep in after a day of sight seeing, then this is it. Yes it is part of an RV park, but most look like they have stayed here for several seasons and are well cared for. Yes the motel rooms are circa 1950 and small, and you have to carry your luggage a ways to said room. But they are immaculately clean and exceptionally well kept for their age. We spent 8 days here and found it grows on you. Town of South Haven is 5 to 10 minutes by car. You are right off of Blue Star Highway to head north to Holland, Saugatuck, or south to St Joseph. So after you've gone to the beach, enjoyed great meals at local restaurants, watched the sun set over the lake, had pie at Crane's, visited multiple local artist studios - well, then you return to Jensen's. It is surrounded by woods, with large grassy areas. Just quiet and peaceful where you can sit outside your room and watch the deer, turkey, and other wild life and just veg. That's it, that's all there is to do at Jensen's. No pool, no kitchenette (ladies you can't be expected to cook). there is a fridge to keep cold drinks, but you need to bring a coffee pot, cups and makings, if you are like my hubby and want a cup as soon as your feet hit the floor. One definite plus, there is plenty of very hot water and pressure for showers, and the towels/wash cloths are larger and softer than most budget motels. If you want or need to get any work done....bring your own router, because the wifi is very iffy. Did I mention clean. Since we were there for several days, we had several chats with the housekeeping gal and she is just terrific. We know for a fact that even the carpeting is shampooed after each occupant checks out. So there you have it - older, smaller rooms, that are clean and supply the basics, yes. A good place to be centrally located, yes. A good place to relax, yes. We would stay again.

"Don't expect the Hyatt. Old and quaint is the key here. Not a lot of room to move around but outside has lawn chairs or a picnic bench to lounge about on. Well water and cedar is the "smell" some people complain about. It was VERY clean."Read full review
