This was my third stay at the Brickhouse. Sandy is the perfect host. My room was clean well appointed with antiques and very comfortable. The cats that live downstairs are a real treat. Breakfast is always a surprise. They go out of their way to provide and tasty and nutritious meal. The grounds are extremely well kept and full of... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Brickhouse for 4 nights over the busy Fomula SAE competition weekend. Sandy and Ron are perfect hosts, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfasts would be hard to beat, and different each morning. The room was lovely, clean with a very comfy bed and a heated mattress cover for those... More

Very nice home..full of wonderful antiques. Sandy and Ron are very friendly and very willing to share stories of the home. The gardens around the home are beautiful and have so many different types of flowers and plants. Our room was spacious and clean, with nice soft towels..I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone looking for something... More

This has great hospitality and the hostess and host were great conversationalists, cooks and evening company. We were visiting a daughter at the Michigan Speedway which is right down the street. The interior decoration is very updated but very appropriate to the time and history of this very interesting house.

We recently returned from a three-day stay at this wonderful B&B located on US 12 in southeastern Mich. The proprietors warmly opened their home to us and we greatly enjoyed this comfortable and welcoming home. The rooms are very comfortable in size and each has its own - yes, each has its own - individual bathroom. The breakfast is plentiful... More

This was a fall road trip for the wife and I to see the trees and Hidden Lake Gardens. We had seen the B&B on the way to a scoolhouse winery just down the road and decided to try it on our trip the next time we went north. The B&B is full of history, relaxation, and just fun which... More

I suppose if every B&B was as outstanding as The Brickhouse of Somerset, happening on a gem like this would be no big deal. But we all know the whole B&B experience can be hit or miss...but not here! I have found it to be a consistently wonderful experience. My brother and sisters and our spouses have had several weekend... More

If you're looking for a classic B&B experience in a beautiful, historic home with gracious, accommodating hosts, the Brickhouse of Somerset is your place. My wife and I and our one-year old child enjoyed great food and refreshments and felt as comfortable as though we were visiting relatives or friends. I rarely write reviews but the Brichouse of Somerset deserves... More

What a surprise to find! So much more than the online photos reveal. Sandy has restored this stately house to perfection and outfitted the interiors authentically, with public rooms filled with period collections. Nary a reproduction here-and not the shabby chic charm of jumbled flea market finds. Beautifully restored woodwork abounds-great stairway, moldings and floors-covered with carefully selected Caucasian rugs... More
