You would be hard pressed to find another B&B with as fabulous a breakfast as what is offered here! Select from fresh gourmet entrees each day, listed on a decorative card to hang on your doorknob after you've chosen. There's a hospitality suite filled with complimentary snacks and beverages - yes, complimentary! The queen bed isn't a full queen size, but it's comfy and includes top notch linens. Each room has its own private bathroom, shower, and fireplace. By having just 3 rooms, breakfast is an intimate experience shared with just one or 2 other couples. The innkeeper prepares and serves the breakfast and offers suggestions to help you plan your itinerary for the day. Both this B&B and the town it's in have many quirky historical facts. There are many shopping boutiques and unique restaurants a block away as well as nature trails and beaches.

My husband and I arrived at the Beechwood Manor and were very pleased on how the house looked. We had a little difficulty at first because the sign for the B&B is a little small so we past it up. Upon entering the home, masked of course, we met Scott who was very helpful with our luggage and registration was quick and easy. Gave us a tour of the place, showed us where the refrigerator was which had soda and water if we needed it. Our room was small, but very nicely decorated. We had the Ethel room. If you can afford the extra money for his biggest room I would chose that one. It's really nice and big, but honestly, for the amount of time you spend in a room, you may not feel it's worth the extra dollars. The bed was very comfortable, and he also provides nice robes for you in each room. He gave us each a menu for the 2 mornings we would have breakfast, and asked us to choose what we wanted. It is amazing how much food he gave. I'm not use to eating such a big breakfast, and felt really horrible about wasting food, but I couldn't eat it all. He starts you off with a decent size glass of mixed fruit, so if you aren't a fruit eater or, like me, not a big breakfast eater, you can scale down on your portion size. All you need to do is let him know. His pancakes with lemon curd is fabulous! He also gives a potato side dish with each breakfast, and I'm not a huge hash browns or breakfast potato eater, but I will tell you, his were simply delicious! He is a chef, as well as the owner of Beechwood, and it clearly comes out in his cooking. Scott told us about the area, gave us names of some restaurant places to try out and answered any and all questions we had. We would have enjoyed his great porch, which had several rocking chairs on it, but it was a bit cold, so we didn't sit out for too long. If you've never been to Saugatuck, it's a must see. Very quaint and lots of shops to visit. I personally prefer to go in summer because I enjoy sitting out dining and enjoying the music they have in the downtown area. October was a bit chilly, but the decorations and colors are beautiful. Give Beechwood a try, you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the B & B in mid July and it was even better than advertised! The Innkeeper, Scott, met us at the door and even carried our luggage to our room. The room was spacious, bed was comfy, bathroom had everything we needed, including a walk in shower and clawfoot bathtub. The breakfast each day was delicious and so much food we didn't eat lunch. Scott even provides beach towels and beach chairs. It's a beautiful wooded setting, in a quiet neighborhood, with a big porch on which there are 4 rocking chairs and small 2 top tables. Walking to downtown Saugatuck was easy and took us about 10 minutes. Parking was in the rear of the property. We give it a 5 star rating!

Everything was excellent! Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was perfect!
Scott does an amazing job with making you feel welcomed and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious both mornings and everything was fresh and locally sourced, what a treat!
The location is perfect, just outside the busy/noisy town but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants.
We live in Zeeland just 20-minuets away and yet we felt like a world-away. Can't wait to visit again!

Beechwood Manor is a darling B&B located just a few blocks walking distance from downtown Saugutuk. It's very clean, well appointed, and the breakfasts are fantastic! Scott is very personable and kind. He is very helpful in suggesting things to do while in the area. His restaurant referrals were excellent! We would definitely stay at Beechwood Manor again.

Nice quiet location, room was comfortable and during this crazy pandemic, the owner made it feel very clean and safe. Now for the icing on the cake...breakfast. Scott, the owner is an outstanding chef and when he makes breakfast, you will be amazed. He lets you pick from his customized menus and when you see it, you will never forget. Presentation and taste beats any restaurant in town. This is the best secret for this B&B...Shhhhh. We can’t wait to return.

Beechwood Manor Inn & Cottage was the first Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at and convinced me to stay at B&Bs always going forward! Scott was welcoming from the first second with great advice on restaurants, vineyards, farms, and more. Of course, his breakfast was amazing with unique offerings daily. Highly recommend Beechwood for anyone looking for an authentic homey stay!

We had a wonderful stay the the Beechwood Manor Inn over the 4th of July. This historic inn is beautifully restored. The rooms were very comfortable, and we cannot say enough about Scott, the host. Breakfast was incredible, and Scott was very accommodating, making sure that we had the best possible stay. We loved being able to walk to town as well. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Scott.

I just spent the weekend at Beechwood and must say that everything was fabulous! I highly recommend staying here.
The rooms an inn are comfortable and nicely decorated and the host was awesome. Breakfast both days was delicious and you get to choose what you would like. It’s a short walk to town which is also a big plus. It’s very quaint and I’ll definitely be back.

We stayed two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was perfect. The entire house is cozy and comfortable. The room was just right. Everything we needed for a relaxing retreat. Scott the inn keeper is a wonderful host and an excellent chef. The food was delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend this lovely B & B.
Thank you Scott! We’ll be back!

You can walk but it is not close and there is a hill to go up on the way home. But it is still a great B & B!
