We are a small mom & pop motel. Due to our size, this allows us to get to know our customers and build relationships with them. Quiet park-like setting with fire-pit, picnic tables and a large yard area for enjoying the summer weather. Continental breakfast included. Centrally located and set 1 mile outside of downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Dune rides, Oval Beach and all the restaurants and shopping one could ask for are all easily traveled to from our location.

The motel was nice and close to downtown. It's within walking distance if you have good shoes. Lots of restaurants and shops within a mile or two, easy walk with sidewalks most of the way. Good motel for a night or two, nice lobby area, clean room and friendly owners. The antique emporium, dune buggy rides and ice cream/pancake are just down the road.

Returned for our 3rd year in a row and still love it! The (2) double queen room is perfect for families with kids, our 7 and 9 year old love the simple self-serve breakfast with an assortment of light breakfast items. Extremely clean and affordable with a relaxing, well-maintained outside area. Owners are friendly in person and on phone. We didn't have a chance to use the fire-pit or grill since since there's so much to do between Saugatuck and Holland! We absolutely love returning from a long day on the beach or shopping to a clean, quiet, air conditioned room with cable and flat TV. The beds/bedding and pillows are very comfortable. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Very nice small motel, very clean and the breakfast buffet was very good. If you drink decaf coffee in the morning, be sure to tell them otherwise they don't make it unless you ask. Room was clean and comfortable and the location is great only about one mile from town.

Captians Quarters is a wonderful quiet place to stay while visiting Saugatuck. The entire place is spotless from the rooms, bathroom, and grounds. The owners are friendly and very helpful when suggesting places to eat and visit. Don't hesitate to stay, you won't be disappointed

We were here for the tulip festival in Holland. The hotel is a small family run business. Although the hotel is old, the owners have worked hard to update giving it a clean homey feel. They are also very helpful if you need advice about the area. Breakfast was cereal, pastry, boiled eggs and fruit,

They were cleaning the exterior when we arrived, which was very impressive. The rooms are exceptionally clean and tidy. It is a family run business and they were very friendly. Coffee and breakfast items were available. We will definitely return.

Needed a place so we could visit Saugatuck and Douglas for a weekend. This locally owned hotel is clean, affordable and good spot to do so. We really liked how friendly the owners were along with their continental breakfast to get us started in the morning. Would stay again!

Clean, affordable motel owned and operated by a young couple living on the premises. Firepit and picnic area available. Short distance to downtown with transportation pickup available at the motel to avoid parking issues. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stay here all the time when we visit Saugatuck. It is quiet, clean and well maintained. We like that it doesn't have a lot of frills because when we visit Saugatuck we want to spend our time out on the town or hiking the beaches. What we need in a motel is a quiet clean place to clean up and sleep. That's why we love this place, plus the owners help us figure out where to eat and what to see and although it is just the basics, they are high quality so no complaints, only two happy customers!!
