Bill and Mark are fabulous hosts. Way above average! We went on a fishing charter and caught lots of trout during our stay and Bill was kind enough to keep them in the freezer for us the following day :) If that not enough, when I got home that night I noticed he had repacked all of them into portion... We found the accommodations very nice, private, clean with daily house cleaning and fresh plush towels, whirlpool tub, large shower, chocolate candy bites in our room daily, fireplaces (one gas and one electric), heater in the bathroom, and a heater/dryer over the towels. TV/DVD and free movies were available. Our suite was right off the parking area so it was... More

Room was cozy and nicely furnished. Meals were unbelievably good (owner is a former chef). Staff was friendly and fun - we had an absolutely perfect experience. Outdoor area overlooking the water was very nice. It was a bit chilly in May, but we'll be back in the fall.

We stayed 2 nights in the sunset room for our anniversary. Breakfast was delicious! Very unique and delicious casseroles and fresh fruit was served both mornings. The coffee was mediocre. Our weather was excellent, so we were able to sit out on the deck both mornings. We enjoyed the delicious wine and cheese in the evening before we went out... More

I'd return on an hour's notice. We loved the room--yes, the one off the breakfast room, the Harbour Room--looking straight out onto the garden and then Lake Michigan; we loved Bill and his hospitality and his breakfast and wine-and-cheese spread; and we loved meeting the other guests, especially the foreign ones.

This was a lovely little place. The owners/hosts were friendly and available, but not obtrusive – they really struck the right balance. It was very clean and the room very comfortable, though we needed more shelf space in the bathroom. There were 2 great decks, one almost a “pier” with stunning views out over the lake. The breakfast set-up was... More

South Cliff Inn and its owner is warm, welcoming and homey! Home-cooked breakfasts, charming furnishings, spectacular views, amazing company, evening wine and cheese...what is there not to like. Can't recommend this delightful place more and will definitely be back for another visit!

Charming B&B right on the lake. Views from the patio are picture perfect. We had the cheapest room which was fine. Bathroom tiny but the bed was comfortable and the room was as clean as could be. The breakfast is reason enough to stay here. Bill is a gourmet cook and you'll be begging for his recipes- which he won't... More
