In working here in St Ignace for awhile. I am staying here and will be leaving Monday October24th. The Motel is a cozy clean place and extremely affordable. The owners are very nice accommodating folks who treat their guests good. Rooms are more than good and you would pay a lot for a more a larger motel and here you...

We stayed 4 nights at the Sunset Motel in August 2016 during our summer vacation. This is an older motel and, true to the word, it is a motel not a hotel. You park outside in front of your room, half a dozen steps from door to car. It is located on Highway 2 West, a couple of miles west...

My husband and I stayed here two nights, each in different rooms, before and after an overnight visit to Mackinac Island. Both nights the room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The first night, the room had a strong musty odor, which could have been from the high heat and humidity in the area. The second night we stayed our...

The owner/manager Annette was awesome, friendly and provided every comfort. Rooms are clean, comfortable and have every amenity plus retro personality for those tired of the chain hotel syndrome. The owners are constantly updating the property. Price is very reasonable. Microwave, fridge, in room coffee, hairdryer, lots of space. We loved our stay!

Do you find that you are weary, Of the chain motels -- so dreary, That their sameness makes you teary? Spend the night at Sunset, dearie, Where you'll wake up feeling cheery! Very pleasant! When I visited, the exterior paint looked like it was waiting for a touch-up, but the room appeared freshly painted and everything was in excellent condition....

This is our favorite motel in St. Ignace. The rooms are comfortable with a fridge and microwave, WIFI, a small fee for pets and a friendly atmosphere. There are plenty of food choices in the immediate area. We especially appreciated the ability to access the adjoining room where the rest of our family was staying.

I enjoyed our room. The knotty pine interior was very cute and gave it personality. We appreciated the microwave and the fridge in the room. They were accommodating to a late arrival time and left the key in the door. The only issue we had was the pocket door in the bathroom. We pushed it in too far and it...

Excellent value, very clean room, kind service. There is a nice bar/restaurant next door or go up highway 2 another mile and get great value with a hearty meal at the truck stop. Forget the chains. Hotels like this are better in every way.
