Looks are deceiving! The hotel is clean and good repair. The staff are very friendly and courteous, going the extra mile. They are very handicapped (we're traveling with wheelchair bound family member) friendly and claim to be equally pet friendly! The only drawbacks are the breakfast menu is limited and unvarying day to day as well as the patio area offers no ambiance and is subject to the road noise from highway. Will be staying there again if just to see if they are half as friendly towards my dog as they were to my disabled relative.

Voyager Inn is an excellent location for visits to Mackinac Island. They are near the ferry and offer discounted tickets. They are dog friendly and have a nice grassy area behind the building that we liked to use for potty breaks. Staff was really nice and helpful. My only complaint is the room was incredibly humid, even with the AC blaring.

A one night stay, did not use the indoor pool or hot tub but the facility looks clean and functional. The room was clean, the amenities were as advertised, and the price was very economical. The complimentary breakfast offers plenty to get you going and the hotel location is great for road access, gasoline, and fast food locations. I will stay there again.

Found this hotel on Trip Advisor, and was SO happy we did! The staff was amazingly friendly, and the hotel was very clean. Quiet, too, which is surprising since it's right off the highway. We checked in a little early but they had no problem with that. They answered all of our questions without hesitation. We received $10 in free play to the casino each night we were there, and there are shuttles to both the casino and the ferry lots. We didn't take either one, but they're available!!

Breakfast was pretty decent...Bagels, English muffins, donuts, pre-packaged danish, hard boiled eggs, French toast, yogurt, cereal, and orange juice. Everything was fresh and constantly restocked.

The soap they provide for hand washing is awful. It doesn't lather... it's like a block of caulk. Be sure to bring your own soap for sure.

Pool area and hot tub are fantastic. Pool was a little chilly but I swam for a half an hour and had it to myself. We were the only ones in the hot tub.

I would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay!
Pro - because of early departure I was able to order bagels/fruit.
Cons -
Filthy dirty, pictures on website misleading. Upon arrival the desk attendant was more interested in listening to headphones.
Room smelled moldy and smokey.
Called desk as TV was not working and after second request he stomped into our room adjusted something and as we thanked him he stomped by without a word.
Bathroom linoleum was black and moldy in two large areas, door jams all rusty, and floor molding was gross/black.
Fairly certain the sheets on my bed were not clean as they were terribly wrinkled and had spots on them. Just about gagged. Also, no spread/bed cover.
Back to desk asking for blanket (none in room) and after some time she came back with a old wrinkled one coming apart at the seams with nylon trim torn and hanging off blanket. the dresser was a piece of junk with drawers would not close and falling apart everywhere.
The carpet was rippled in spots but mainly very damp and sticky leaving my feet feeling extremely gross so I put my socks on which became damp and wet.
The website pictures are very misleading and inaccurate. We were extremely disappointed and concerned if we were exposed to mold in this room. The staff members were so rude and barely spoke english so it was difficult to understand them.
I would recommend you run from this establishment as everything about this place was gross and the fact that we paid $162.00 for this hole was embarrassing.
This establishment should be rated below zero so feel those responses of a high mark were made up.

This is a nice budget hotel in a cool tourist town. Anyone who complains that the amenities aren't extraordinary and pristine should pay the extra $200-$400 a night for a super modern chain-level experience. Voyager Inn accepts pets and has a nice big pool. And breakfast was pleasantly good considering the price.

Stayed here for just one night. The staff was wonderful. I was worried walking to the room as the exterior needs work and the price was low - however once inside our room we were super surprised. Totally renovated and super nice. Perfect spot! We will definitely stay here again.

The staff is very unpleasant. The maid service does not exist. We had to go to the desk for towels and things and made our own beds. Hospitality needs to happen. Room are ok. The staff does not great you at all and there is nobody at the desk. they need to find out how to service the customer by cleaning and providing supplies for each day and great your customers with a smile at least. Very disappointed.

I knew this was not a luxury hotel, but it was very disappointing. The general appearance is that it's dated and run down. Large gaps around the room door let light in. The carpet in our room had cigarette burns and decor from the 80s. The bathroom needs to be remodeled desperately. The chairs in our room were all strained up. The room could have been cleaner (corners, bathroom, etc) Our beds were clean, there is a large mini fridge and a microwave. It served our purpose for us to just sleep. But wasn't worth the $100/night during off-season. The pool and spa did look nice.

Started in room 213 was moved to 210 as door lock would not unlock! 210 we spent 1.5 hrs trying to get TV to work no signal, was moved to room 215 finally had TV (almost 11pm) many apologies but very irritating after traveling for 9 hours in car, was looking to relax!! Then in AM they closed breakfast bar half hour early (while we were standing there) and we could not even get a cup of coffee ( so sorry again) wtf!!
If you have another option DO NOT STAY HERE - run!! Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

It would probably be best classified as continental, but when I stayed they did have French toast you could warm up in the toaster (more delicious that it sounds I promise). They also had the standard oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, etc. They maybe had eggs? I can't honestly remember.
