We stayed here for one evening, mid Summer. If you you look up the definition of "old school motel", there will be a picture of this place in the definition. I love the older motels so it worked for me. Clean, quiet and conveniently located next to a store that sells virtually everything you need for an evening or two,... More

We stopped in as we were travelling through the area, so we hadn't made reservations or checked the reviews. While we were impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of our room, that doesn't make up for the fact that we were scammed. I used my debit card to pay, and when I checked our online bank account prior to checking... More

I stay here 3 to 4 times a year while traveling to Canada/U.P.. Always has clean sheets, never 1 problem with the owners who go out of there way for us, we usually get in very late, they always have our room ready and waiting. They accept pets and you cant beat the price.

When you have a choice, and don't mind Mom and Pop, stay at the Pines! Quiet, clean, close to everything, yet out of the way! Will stay here again!! Prices were much less than all the other St. Ignace motels, but totally worth it. We stayed here the night before we went to the island. Made the drive super short... More

We have always loved Staying at the Pines. The owners were always friendly and the rooms were always clean. Their Yooper Morning blend coffee was the best. I always bought some to take home. There Breakfast was great...... but the last 10 years the Pines have gone down hill. when we last stayed there with my 90 year old Grandma... More

We loved the Pines Motel! The owners were very friendly, and visited with us a bit around the evening bonfire. The rooms were lovely, retro-chic, nicely outfitted, and perfectly clean. Prices are basically unbeatable, and we would definitely return.

They were very helpful & kind! A nice Retro Motel! It is close to all area attractions. Small store & service station nextdoor. The rooms clean and neat. All knoty pine finish in side. And again let me add HELPFUL. They were always there to help and guide you to local food and, attrations.

It is what it is.....a buget motel on the side of the highway. Paper-thin walls, friendly staff, ADEQUATE. We were hauling a snowmobile trailer, they let us park on the grass next to the units, which was nice and a big help. Romms are 1970s decore. Beds were ok, and firm. they accepts pets. shower was cramped, but had hot... More

I recently took a trip up North to be able to view the beautiful colors. This motel was a great location for a "home base" to be between many beautiful drives. I too did have an issue with the heat in my room but once they took the time to explain it to me I had no further problems. Yes,... More
