We booked a room for two nights with a hot tub , the 1st floor Forest View , the room was far from romantic , it was creepy dark inside with no natural light or hardly any artificial light even if you wanted to create some . The outside patio attached to the room was so small we could barely fit us and the two patio chairs out there . For what we paid , a mid-week stay , $470 for two nights was a rip off . We did get two $30 vouchers to use in the tiki bar , their overpriced bar / restaurant on the property. We think this place is all about making money from the tiki bar outside not the hotel / rooms . I hate to slam like this but we are not happy at all about the quality of our stay for what we paid .
I was blown away by the cleanliness of the room and hospitality of the owners. Great location, great food, fantastic scenery and overall just a warm cozy feeling. The in room fireplace and hot tub were a perfect pairing for a cold winter getaway.
This was our first visit to Springbrook Inn and we were not disappointed. Thank you ! Kathy was not there...sorry we missed you as we made arrangements thru you...but Cole did a great job. He was always around and working the grounds ...even running Trivia. The location was nice, the room was very comfortable with a king size bed, ref, microwave, table & chairs, small balcony with chairs, comfy loveseat and ottoman in front of a gas fireplace! It was a great room! The Trivia game at The Frog Tiki bar was fun! Breakfast in the morning served to our door was a super nice touch! They even accommodated my vegan diet. Delicious! We had a great time. Thank you
Loved our room. 5 star Well appointed accommodations. Delicious breakfast served in our room. Tiki Bar was great. Listened to live music from our balcony. Food was fabulous at the Tiki Bar. Will visit again.
We found Springbrook Inn back in 2017 when we needed a last minute room near Houghton Lake on a holiday weekend. All other places were booked, so we took a chance on this one. We had stayed at a few of the big hotels on the lake before, and we really did not love the atmosphere of any of them, one was even what I would call disgusting! Fast forward 3 years, have stayed in the Springbrook Room (2-3 times per year) every time we have visited the area since then. Breakfast is never a disappointment. We love the Tiki Bar, so relaxing to sit outside near the fish pond for lunch and drinks, before a trip to the lake-house of a friend. The rooms are, well stocked, nice decor and probably the cleanest I have experienced anywhere (my husband and I both travel for work and have had a few years where we have stayed over 100 nights in hotels). I would highly recommend you check this out if you want/need to stay near Houghton Lake.…
