We were very happy with our room except that it was a little small with the king size bed. I wish we would have asked for the queen bed especially since we were traveling with our dog, too. When we arrived, no one was there to direct us to our room, but there was a phone number to call. Unfortunately, we did not have cell phone service, so we had to drive a few miles to get a call in to them. There was not someone on site to help all the time. For the most part, it was not a problem. The room was clean, nicely decorated and adequate for our stay. I would stay here again.

The owners and staff were very friendly. They made us and our two old Labrador Retrievers feel very welcome. We enjoyed a pleasant stay. The view of the lake, the club house amenities and the large shared lawn at lakeside were inviting. Bring your jet skis and kayaks.

Very clean and welcoming! We brought our 12 year old dog, and she was good with everyone. Michele has decorated the rooms and the grounds, and it was charming and inviting! The clubhouse had many amenities, and there was a nice firepit with wood readily available. We enjoyed our stay at Grand Lake Resort!

Our 2nd time staying here. The wife and I lobe this place. It is cute and cozy, and the price is right. OK, the rooms are a little small, but for a night??? No problem. The rooms are neat and clean and up to date. The beds are comfortable too. A lot to do around there also. The view of the lake is nice. The owners are wonderful. Don't mind the mess for now, they are building a new community center. The upgrade will be sweet. I would recommend stopping in for a night, Phil Hatzos Berkley, MI

Our room was beautifully arranged and had a nice view. Everything was immaculate. The bed was comfortable, if it had been warmer we would have taken advantage of the deck. We didn't discover the common room until the next morning. Definitely coming back in the summer.

I found this place online and does not look like anything fancy but when you get in your room and walk out the door to the back of the motel...you will be amazed. A beautiful view of Grand Lake, BBQ area, muskoka chairs and a lovely deck to have a sit down and enjoy. A great spot and only about an hour or so outside of Mackinaw City.

Stopped along the way heading north and gave this motel a try. Owners are new and working hard to get the word out. Some rooms are remodeled, others are on their way. Grounds are lovely with beach access, clubhouse, BBQ and boats to make this a destination for families. Room by the water had everything needed for a shower and sleep and coffee in room with micro and fridge. Updating will come, as a few touches need to be addressed. Great stopover as Rogers City is lacking in lodging.

If you are looking for a clean, room no frills room and friendly owners this is the place. They offer road side as well as lake side rooms. Just looking for a place to sleep and the road side was a good value. It is a quaint and during our stay was very quiet. They do offer internet access.

Grand lake resort was awesome! It is a perfect place for a family reunion. We reserved the entire place. Their club house was a great gathering place for our family meals and card parties! Their open yard looking out over the lake was perfect for outdoor games and Bon fires. The dock to the lake was great, and they had a water trampoline anchored just off-shore. The rooms were varied and accommodating, mattresses a bit soft. All but one room was air conditioned. The owners were awesome!!! The only thing missing was a sink/running water in the club house, but we made it work with the full kitchen in the suite and kitchenettes in some of the other rooms. Overall, they were very welcoming and extremely accommodating! We have reserved for our reunion next year already. Thank you Christie, we are looking forward to next year!

The moment we pulled up, we were greeted by the owner who directed us to our room, wonderful conversation - he seemed genuinely interested in the conversation, made us feel so welcome! Gave us suggestions on restaurants, things to do, he was simply delightful. Cost was extremely fair - the room was a bit older, but oh had lovely decorations in a country style theme - clean and fresh smelling - we completely enjoyed our stay there! Will definitely stay there every time we return - it was just great.
