Wife and I stayed overnight after a day in Lexington. We've stayed in about 5 to 10 bed and breakfasts throughout Michigan and this has been my favorite to this pointe. Our hostess Suzanne is very welcoming and her food was good as well. Yummy quiche, muffins and berries with cinnamon cream for breakfast. Very nicely sized room for a b and b. It was tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. Coffee maker right in the room. Bathroom was spacious and had both a shower and Jacuzzi tub. That's a big plus for me. Easy to find from the main street. Nicely located near the St. Clair river, Lake Huron and the Blue Water Bridge. Good restaurants and maritime attractions nearby. There were bikes for use and this made it easy to see and enjoy more. Room prices are great. Would definitely go back to this bed and breakfast!…
What a perfect place for a B&B. Right near the park, maybe 4 houses away from the river and the Lightship museum. The rooms are all beautiful, we had the Captains room and it was so great. Very comfortable bed, great bathroom, and sitting room. The owners are so nice, and made our stay wonderful. The breakfast each morning was so good. Would come back for sure
My wife, duaghter, son i law and grand daughter stayed here in two rooms. We had the Captains Room and the Grannys Rooms. The Pleasant place Inn is an old remodeled Victorian home across the street from a park and about 100 yards down the street from the waterfront. The hosts are outstanding and make sure all your needs are met. We even asked for an early breakfast and they accommodated.
We loved the room and location.... The food could be worked on. Looking for improvement on quality and quantity, and maybe variety of breakfast offered... Or at least an agreed upon menu... We left hungry and almost felt sick eating the food we were offered... We did request toast for my husband which was okay.. Would love to have seen tea offered, and water boiled for it - not through a coffee maker. Suggestions offered to owners, so hopefully future guests can have a more positive experience. :)
We rented all three rooms for the weekend of my daughter's wedding. It was such a beautiful place to use for the event. The girls were able to dress in the rooms and have the photographer take pictures. The old Victorian home was a perfect background for pictures while still having modern conveniences. The owner's went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The breakfasts were awesome and worth all the calories. :) I'm so glad we went with this B&B over a hotel/motel. It made the weekend more enjoyable that we had the freedom to walk between the rooms.
