The Hexagon House is beautiful. Michelle and Brenden, originally from England, are excellent hosts and so enjoyable to talk to! Breakfasts are delicious! Each room has access to a private part of the wraparound porch area which we liked very much. We highly recommend the Hexagon House! We’re hoping to go back again this year. Mears State Park is a very short drive away. Pentwater, although a small town, has excellent choices for lunch and dinner.
I went with 4 friends and we had a wonderful time. The new owners were so nice and accommodating. They are working on updates and improvements. There are 5 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The porch is available from your room or one from downstairs. The grounds are lovely. The food is spectacular. Real English tea is available. Pentwater is a lovely town on Lake Pentwater which is within walking distance. This is our 5th visit and we have already planned our sixth visit next year. Highly recomended!
What a beautiful place to stay. We spent a relaxing weekend at the Hexagon House B&B. The innkeepers, Michelle and Brandon, are very warm, helpful, and welcoming. Their bed and breakfast is quite lovely. We chose the Garden Room, our room was very comfortable and peaceful, plus there's direct access to a covered porch with a sitting area for each room. The attention to details is amazing..... inside the house, the grounds outside, snacks available for the guests, not to mention the breakfasts were sooo delicious. And there's so much more..... I truly can't say enough about our experience, except that we look forward to a return visit.
This place was built in the mid 1800's and updated a number of times and is very, very nice. The Innkeepers/Owners, Brenden and Michelle are Brits who just purchased the property I believe in March of this year. They are as warm and charming as the Hexagon House. They have done well for themselves and are doing this as a labor of love and to be near their US family members. It amazes me that they enjoy the hospitality business on such a personal level. Michelle makes breakfast from scratch and serves her guests in what was once a living room, now dining room. Each bedroom has a private bath, and most, if not all of the rooms on both floors have direct access to the porch that runs around the entire home. (Can be seen in the pictures.) The Hexagon House was within walking distance of the little village of Pentwater, which was very quaint. The merchants and waitstaff that we interacted with, were also very nice. All in all, a very nice experience and one that we will likely reprise.…
From the moment we arrived we were treated special. The rooms were very inviting and each had space outside on the deck that was private! The breakfast was wonderfully presented and I personally felt like a queen for the time I was there. It was peaceful and was perfect for our small group of friends. Great experience for my first time at a B&an.
The hosts, Michelle and Brenden provide a warm welcome! They thought of every detail. The public areas including the breakfast area and sitting room are cozy and comfortable. The sleeping rooms are the same. We had two chairs in our room and loved having a place to read other than the bed. Each room also has a porch for relaxing. The room was spotless, and the decor inviting. We loved our breakfast! Michelle made a delicious breakfast casserole and made sure I always had coffee in my cup. We only stayed one night, but would have loved more time to enjoy the property and it's beautiful grounds.
One of the most enjoyable stays at a B&B we have experienced. Our hosts, Br!endan and Michelle were absolutely delightful. They were busy overr the weekend preparting for their daughter's wedding shower and still had time for all the guests. Room was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Relaxing time was spent on the porch sippping wine and watching Brenden plant perhaps a dozen hydrangeas for the wedding shower. We look forward to going back.
Outstanding B&B in Pentwater. One of the most enjoyable B&B stays we’ve had, Hexagon House was our base for a weekend getaway of antiquing and enjoying the outdoors in Pentwater, Manistee and Ludington. Our Cottage Rose room was beautiful —- the new owners (as of spring 2021) have been making updates to the property. The beige carpeting, grey drapes and two chairs are new and beautifully suit the space. Our hosts, Brendan and Michele, are a perfectly delightful couple, offering exceptional hospitality and genuinely caring warmth. If you are staying in Pentwater, book the Hexagon House — you will have a wonderful experience.
We found the proprietors, Brendon and Michelle, were highly customer service oriented and created a delightful lodging experience which represented a touch of English charm and left us realizing that we must return again for a longer visit to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and to fully absorb all the attention to detail that enhanced our overall experience. My wife and I highly recommend this B & B for anyone who desires a friendly, complete and cleanly lodging experience.
We finally enjoyed a wonderful stay at Pentwater's last remaining B&B. We checked in a little late, but were greeted by phone by Brendan, and given instructions on how to find our room key. The B&B is lovely, very comfortable rooms and sitting areas, the breakfast room is bright and airy. The bathrooms were modern and well equipped. Breakfasts, created under the talented eye of Michelle, were delicious. We eagerly anticipated what the menu would hold in store each morning, and were not disappointed. Brendan and Michelle were friendly and engaging, chatting freely even as they went about their business of cleaning up and preparing for the next day. Overall very satisfied and would recommend the Hexagon House highly.
