Our perfect vacation is either a cruise ship, 5 star resort with all amenities, or a quiet cabin on the water! The perfect cabin on Lake Superior is Saunders Sunrise! Directly on the lake with a huge sandy area the length of the property for the grands to play, build castles and sand angels! Several shared fire rings on the... More

Perfect little cabins for our snowmobile trip. Friendly staff when checking in too. Warm, cozy and the best place to be at sunrise. I'm sure summer time is even better! Just a couple miles from town if you need to eat out but they have all you need in the cabin to make your own meals. Also just a few... More

What a view...what a location. These rustic little cabins have the best view of Lake Superior you can find. And they were clean and had everything you might need. I almost thought I could fall in Lake Superior...it was that close. But you could see across to Canada on the clear nights, and it was everything they said it was...just... More

The owners Chris and Robin are very friendly characters - true Yoopers! The cabins are exactly what we expected - although rustic they were clean, well equipped and afforded an excellent view of Whitefish Bay. We found other guests at the property to be friendly and were repeat customers. The bonfires at night with new friends and starlit skies were... More

Saunders Sunrise has one of the prettiest views out your front windows that you could ask for! It is very clean and the kitchen has everything you will need for your stay. If you are expecting The Holiday Inn Express, than it will not met your standards. The cabins are older. But the cabin was very cute, close to all... More

if you enjoy simplicity then these cabins are for you. Just bring yourself. Chris and Robin do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. We had a very rainy and cold stay but a space heater was offered to help. The other cabin residents helped to make the campfire a wonderful place to be. The sunrise we did see was... More

Cabins are run down, small, and dirty. While the price may have seemed reasonable for the area, it is not worth saving a little to stay here. The view was great; however, the owners seriously need to clean the place up.

I thought it was odd when booking with Saunders that they required a 3 day minimum stay, but after staying I understand why, a person would leave after one night otherwise! When pulling into the establishment I first noticed the up kept grounds, the grass was over grown, which attracted more bugs than usual for the U.P. Upon entering the... More

We ended up with the 'orange' one. Rustic but clean, two bedroom cabin. This is not a high end property, but we enjoyed the rustic nature. Kind of like camping without the hassle. Good plumbing and the best bay views ever. Very dog friendly and laid back. Our 80 pounder loved the beach and water. So did we. Cool breezes... More
