We came to Owosso to visit family and stayed at the Comstock Inn. When walking in the inn it was nice and welcoming. However our room was outdated, had a beer can on the floor, trash in the dresser drawer, toilet paper that had been opened and left sitting near toilet- not on the toilet paper roll. The extra security lock on the door had been broken off. The tv did not work and just had a blue screen with no internet flashing on the screen. The pool was open, but not heated and when it is 26 degrees outside at night it is too cold to swim if it is not heated. We complained to the front desk and she apologized and said she would have house keeping come up. No offer to give us any money back and did not offer to switch us rooms. We complained again to the man at the desk when we left and he said he could not do anything about it and handed us a card for his general manager. This inn could be a lot better if rooms were remodeled and house keeping actually cleaned the rooms.

Don’t stay here, we paid $160 for no breakfast, the smallest whirlpool tub I have ever seen, an the smoke detector was haggling off the wall, I covered it in fear there might be a camera. Place looks nice and well placed. Don’t waste your money. Better choices in Durand. And the tv picture quality sucked.

Our family visited my hometown over the holidays and the Comstock Inn had the best and most affordable amenities for the area. The lobby had multiple seating areas and free hot chocolate and coffee. There was a small exercise room, video game machines were on site, and families were enjoying the pool. We walked around the quaint downtown area and parking was close on site. The decor could use some updating and there was a slight smell of smoke. Note that the free breakfast was not currently being served due to health guidelines. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly.

We were on Ossowo for family reunion. First off we found the lobby area to look impressive. The younger girl at front desk on July 24,2023 at 2:30ish to be unfriendly. We got assigned a room and I asked if there was a side door so my disable husband could walk easier to the room . She said yes and pointed to the elevator area to take upstairs from the side entrance. I never saw an elevator from where I stood at the front desk area. I went to my vehicle moved it from main parking lot to side of building nearer a side entrance. We got our luggage went to the only side entrance. That side entrance was to the restaurant. We felt so foolish. We apologized and walked all the way back to the main entrance. In telling the same girl at front desk about the only side entrance she did say sorry. My husband was not happy as he had luggage and we were both walking in circles looking for the elevator. I dont know why this young girl didnt come help us. In asking the girl where again is the elevator she points in the general area for us to go. Finally my husband spotted a very small elevator in a dark area of the first floor. I cant understand why she didn't help us we were the only ones there and she was not doing anything behind the front desk. Once in the room it didn't look too bad we got set up to learn the tv didnt work. They had us move two doors down. In the second room, The beds were so high we both had problems getting into bed. The carpet looked bad and edges very dusty/ dirty too. Furniture too was dusty. And then morning I went down for coffee they have an area to help yourself. Different person in front lobby looked at me never acknowledged me. And her and I were only ones there. Upon leaving this same person now behind front desk never even a thank you to us. Again there were no other customers just us! We pay towards her pay check she could have been respectful. It looked liked by the parking lot there were not many customers that stayed overnight. There are no first floor rooms and no breakfast was included in our $120 we paid and felt unwelcomed. Will not stay again.

It’s nice that a small town like Owosso has a larger hotel, but quality is definitely lacking here. The lobby looked fairly inviting, but once you step on the dirty and worn out elevator you will have a pretty good idea of what’s to come. The room was very outdated although the carpeting looked newer. The overall size was generous, but the cleanliness was questionable. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall in the bathroom and the doors are all in need of a fresh coat of paint. There were just two cheap bath towels towels and the smallest hotel soap, shampoo, lotion bottles that I have ever seen. I only live an hour away from Owosso, but I was in a golf tournament with an early start, so I figured I would save myself the drive and just stay at the hotel the night before. Needless to say, next time I will just bite the bullet and drive.

I travel alone for business and was pleased that the outside was well lit when I arrived late at night. The person who checked me in was extremely pleasent even though it was late. I got to my room and it was a very spacious comfortable room. My work had a package delivered to me there and there were issues with amazon but the hotel staff was great in helping me get the package and solve the problems. They went above and beyond. The location is great- near downtown and close to many good places to eat. I will definitely come back for business and personal travel.

We were given the wrong room at check in. The next room had the correct beds, however the outside street noise was ridiculous. Obviously, not very much thought was put into noise or light pollution when they built this facility. Beds were adequate but linens were scratchy. Too much light for optimum sleeping. Old lamps that you could not use with USB devices. Had to unplug an ugly lamp to plug in my fan. Sink in bathroom had cracks and was coming off wall. Toilet was very low and you hand to remember to jiggle handle or it kept running. Bathroom door filthy. I wiped it to see if it was stained or grime. Yuk! Pool to chilly for us to enjoy but it was a nice area. They obviously put some money into lobby area which was very nicely designed and updated. Complimentary breakfast nothing great. No fresh fruit and very few gluten free options.

I don’t know where to start..... I arrived into this small community by Taxi as there was no rental company at the airport with a vehicle... having arrived here in Owosso to then out there was no taxi, uber or lyft service I was mortified. I needed a car to work! The GM Mir Maroun offered to drive me on a 100 mile round trip to get a rental, not only that he would not accept payment for the fuel. It’s testament to this mans social skills that he has a very happy camp... I’ve now been here 4 days and every single employee here are exceptional in the way customers are welcomed and served. Outstanding for a small community, I’ve stayed in some of the nicest hotels in the world but to find this absolute diamond in the middle of nowhere is mind blowing, don’t look any further if you have to come here x

We stayed two nights and I’m pretty sure we were the only people in the hotel.

Furniture is worn and in desperate need of repair. Key card will only work once then you need to go to the desk and get new ones. At one point I was told “good luck” by the lady at the front desk. Sheets were rough, towels thin and old.

This could be a grand hotel with work and of course the owners need to invest money into their hotel. If any other decent hotel decides to build in the area the Comstock will close.

Staff was great however and extremely helpful.

Everything was 5 star, from the comfort and cleanliness of the room to the friendly and supportive staff. There are so few dog friendly hotels and this is the very nicest one I've ever been to!! They went out of their way to help us. We were never made to feel as if our dog was a nuisance as some hotels do. I would go there again and I highly recommend it.
