We came to town for a wedding and there wasn’t much in the way of hotels in the area. After reading all the reviews we gave The Pines a shot and were very pleased with our stay! The rooms were so clean and the bathrooms were great. As a picky grandma finding rooms for her grandkids I was pleasantly impressed. This business seems to take great pride in their product. We stayed in the 2 story part and had rooms all together. Thanks for a great night.

No it’s not a 5 star hotel in terms of luxury and amenities, however they are an exceptional motel in their category and a great value for the money. The outside isn’t fancy and showy — it’s tidy and neat and well maintained. Who needs more than that? One phone call and we were welcome to check in a bit early before we headed to a wedding. Check in was friendly, quick and easy.
Other positive reviews prepared us for the room but we were still impressed with how modern, updated and CLEAN it was! We are picky about cleanliness and condition and it passed easily.
The room had mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and nicely finished.
Our king bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and quality sheets.
The air conditioning kept it chilly like we like it.
There is a nice little market within steps out the door with great coffee and more.
We love to support local businesses when we travel and the Pines is doing a great job! We will return if we are back in the area.

Don't be fooled by the elderly 1960's motor inn exterior. My room was very recently refurbished and in excellent condition. The full size bed was not too hard and not too soft, it was just right. And the rain shower head in the bathroom was a joy to stand under. The room was very quiet. If you are travelling with dogs there are multiple very large mowed grassy areas (think field sized) to exercise your dogs. Why not 5 stars? The beds in the double room were full size, not queen. And while the exterior is freshly painted, it does need repair work.

Beautiful updated bathroom with lots of counter space and a fabulous tub. Beds were clean and comfortable and it appeared there was new carpeting. First problem is keys didn’t work because battery in door lock was dead. They fixed it, no problem! Second thing there is a place to hang your clothes but they don’t provide any hangers. The smoke alarm had been ripped out of the wall so it is against the law to rent a room without a smoke alarm. Obviously people have smoked in our room because we could smell it. Air conditioner worked fairly well but it pulls in the smoke from the people outside of the building. Room was desperately in need of paint😵 But still OK. No lightbulb in the bedside light so we removed one from another light and stuck it in there. The building we were in is not the one in the picture. This looks like a long-term rental building, rust stains, etc. People of all “kinds” hanging out smoking, But outside your room it looked like it had not been swept in quite a while as there were a lot of old cigarette butts. The coup de grace was coming home from dinner and finding a car that look like I’ve been rolled about eight times with the hood up and guys in the parking lot fixing it. We not only deadbolt at our door we put a chair in front of it and, there are instructions tell you to deadbolt your door which was telling in itself. Super nice people running the place and they’re probably trying to slowly fix it up. Would I stay there again? Maybe if I could stay in the original small building and not in the building they don’t show you in the pictures. It was very close in price to a holiday inn express about 10 miles away which we probably would choose next time!

I stayed a single night here in July. The check-in process was smooth and Stephanie, who worked the front desk, was friendly and helpful. The room itself was scrupulously clean, including the inside of the microwave and refrigerator. Despite being located near a busy state highway and an airstrip(!), the room was quiet, so a good night's sleep was easily achieved. Aiding in this, the bed was comfortable. All in all, I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

My husband and I stayed June 16th through the 20th and had a wonderful experience. Don't let the exterior fool you (and truly its not bad)... the room was really roomy, up to date and very very clean. A very reasonable price made this an exceptional find. We highly recommend!

Super clean room, very nice bathroom. Appreciate the in-room fridge and microwave. However, the beds were both singles. I don't know if this is explicit when you book, as I didn't do the booking for our group, but it was awfully hard to squeeze 4 people in a room with 2 singles. The beds were at least comfortable, but a tight squeeze.

Don't be misled by the outside. The building is very clean but non descript.
Open the door to your room you will not be disappointed. The Beds are one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The rooms are spotless. You have a frig, coffee maker, microwave. There is a large screen flat screen TV. The individual heating was quiet and did a great job. The shower and bathroom were spotless and very roomy. The staff are very kind and treat you like a friend. I have traveled for work extensively and will certainly stay here again !

We found the hotel room very clean and had everything we wanted. Large bathroom great shower with light inside. Microwave but not used, Mini fridge kept our pop and foods cold. Gas station with mini market at hotel driveway entrance very convenient. Our rate was not the same as the rest of our group brought it to there attention they looked after it without hesitation. Nice wall mounted HD TV. Heater was fairly quiet and warmed the room. King sized bed comfortable lots of pillows. Sheets were clean no stains. Had a gas fired fire place outdoors to gather around . Located at edge of town but everything in this town nearby anyway, Walmart almost across the street easy walking distance. Hotel may not look like much from the outside but the rooms more than make up for it whereas the Comstock Inn looks good outside but has terrible rooms. Room came with free WIFI but not used. in room coffee maker and if you ran out of coffee no problem getting more. We were a group in for a wedding and had probably at least 10 rooms never heard a complaint from any of them.
