Despite timely cancellation in accordance with the KOA cancellation policies, due to the detectable illness of our child, the full amount was deducted as a cancellation fee with the vague justification it is a holiday weekend. This has not been noted in writing on my written booking confirmation or anywhere else. To withhold the full amount, although they could re-rent the place (fully booked holiday weekend ?!) that is absolutely dubious and is not a good reputation for a so-called family campground. This can not be recommended.

Thank you owners and staff for a great time and wonderful experience! We rented 3 deluxe cabins for our children and grandchildren and it was like home away from home. Very clean and accommodating! Activites to keep the grandchildren busy! Canoeing lighthouses, small town shopping all close by. It was perfect! Making memories with our family is priceless! Thanks again!

We are so glad that your children and grandchildren could join you for a camping trip at our KOA this summer! We love providing our guests with a "home away from home" feeling with the help of our friendly team, many fun-filled activities during the peak camping season, and numerous amenities like our Jumping Pillow for kids and the Bark Park for the pups to enjoy. We delighted to hear that your family was able to make so many great memories during your visit, and we hope to welcome everyone back for another stay with us at Oscoda / Tawas KOA Holiday in the future!

We rented a deluxe cabin, for hubs, me and 17 yo daughter. Far exceeded our expectations. Cute cabin with everything we needed. Queen bed, set of bunk beds, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, dishes. Full bathroom and air conditioning! Outside featured fire pit, grill, picnic table and bench rocker. East Tawas is within 15 minutes or downtown Oscoda 10 minutes.

This is by far one of the best campgrounds I have stayed at in a while. The staff is extremely friendly, very helpful, and they fix an issue in the matter of minutes. We had one issue while we were staying here and it was some ants started to gather in front of our tent we had told the front desk they came out to our site within 5 min and had an ant spray, then told us to let them know if that didn't work they would purchase so.wthing that will. Great hospitality! Would definitely camp here again!

Somewhat rustic. Most sites are horribly not level. Quiet campground, except when the train goes by. Lots for kids to do. 2nd time here but don’t think we would come back. Very close to Oscoda & Tawas. Both have great beaches and downtown area.

Thank you for being a return guest to our campground, and for taking the time to leave a review. We do not feel that we are a rustic campground as at least 90% of our sites are full hook-up, including cable, and we added a brand new Wi-Fi system during the past off-season. We are conveniently located to many different attractions, with some rather local, and some within a few hour drive from the campground. We do hope that you will reconsider being a guest of ours again, but if not, we do wish you all the best.
