I stayed a week, the room was awesome and the sales mngr got our group a wonderful rate. The front desk staff lacks luster and the night shift clerk was totally useless. One day, I had a simple question about a part that was in the dishwasher. It became a fiasco and the maint guy they sent up looked like a gang member, all dressed in black with mask on* and hoodie up. He couldn't figure it out, so he started the dishwasher, even though their was no problem with it and only a few dishes in it. The housekeeping staff were a whole other issue and a short series of nice chats with them got way out of hand. The mngr did not want to listen to a thing I had to say and he asked me to leave. I have found that incompetent people get very insulted when their incompetence is brought to their attention and then they turn it around on YOU. I will NEVER spend another cent at Sonesta anything. *he was the only staff member I ever saw with a mask on…
I had 3 stays of 2 weeks each at this property between November 2020 and January 2021. The experience was consistent. The property is not very new, but maintenance is good and the suites are well-equipped. A full size refrigerator really makes a difference for me on these longer stays. There's a guest laundry in each building, which is convenient. The gym is basic, just a couple cardio machines and a few free weights. The breakfast has to be ordered in advance. It's okay, I generally bought my own stuff. I found the service to be very good. I could have the room cleaned if I asked, and could get supplies when I needed them. Location is very convenient, near lots of shopping and restaurants. i was getting a good rate as well. Would definitely stay again depending on the rate and a few other factors. This property is changing brands from Marriott to Sonesta in a week or two, so you need to take rewards programs, etc., into account as well going forward.…
On recent business trip, this facility was clean, quiet, comfortable with good front desk staff. Excellent location to many restaurants and shopping with three major malls nearby (Twelve Oaks Mall and 2 outdoor malls). Breakfast offerings had the basics and not all of it was in individual wrapped plastic bags - fresh.
Located close to Showplace center for conferences. I was impressed because the room and bathroom were extremely clean!! Nice to have a little kitchen. Breakfast just fine in the am...no complaints there. Would stay again.
We had a soccer tournament in Novi, and a block of rooms was set up. I missed the block and out in a request to have a room. I was very excited that they were able to accommodate my child and I, and pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette in our room. We found the room to be cozy, bed comfortable, the kitchen stocked with what we would need, and everything very clean. Very happy with our stay.
Had a meeting in Novi and hence choose this hotel being close to venue. Good hotel and very close to city center - Walmart store. Good breakfast. Could not connect WiFi on mobile but was working on laptop.
As a business traveler this hotel offered me everything I wanted - a clean room, a very comfortable bed, fast internet, a space to work, a decent sized bathroom and an adequate breakfast. I also liked my view over the lake. I gave this hotel an above average rating because I liked how spacious the room felt with the small kitchen. Further, the staff at this hotel actually cares about making your stay a positive experience. I had an issue and it was promptly addressed without push back. One bit of advice is to get a room on the top floor in either of the two buildings. The floors are thin so you will hear stomping from your neighbor upstairs.
We really enjoyed staying in a two-bedroom suite on the last day of our visit to Michigan. It was typical of a Marriott with wonderful beds and garish carpeting. The extra space was appreciated and gave us ample space to reorganize our bags for our flight home. I will look for Towne Place Suites the next time I travel.
We stayed here while visiting our son who lives locally. The hotel was clean and well-kept. The room was good-small kitchenette, lots of storage space. The breakfast was typical: eggs, cereal, yogurt. The staff was friendly. The gym is very small: just 3 pieces of cardio equipment and some free weights. There were no wipes to clean the equipment; I had to ask for them. Also, the direct TV did not work on the treadmills. Not the greatest.
The TownePlace Suites isn't brand new but it's a nice hotel in a great location. Located only minutes from shopping and restaurants and far enough from the highway that you don't get the noise of cars racing by at night. We were greeted by a wonderful young man at the front desk who helped us get a great room in an excellent location. Breakfast was just fine, they have an overflow seating area which came in handy as the space is on the small side. The breakfast attendants were visible and took care of restocking if anything ran out. I'd stay here again.
