Would not stay here again. The nice lady that checked us in was apologetic for the computer being down, but was very helpful giving us extra towels, ice from the restaurant. Rooms were ok. The pool was dirty and needed updating and hot tub looked like it was out of order for a long time. It was nice that it... More

Needed a hotel in the Newberry area for the two hearted trail run. Settled on Zellar's Village Inn because they had a restaurant on premise and an indoor pool with hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order and has been for some time. Check-in went fine, very friendly and helpful. Room was very basic, a little worn... More

This is a really great hotel. The location is fantastic if you want to explore the UP because of it's central location. The staff was amazing and bent over backwards to make sure we got everything we needed. We ran into some car trouble the week that we were there and the hotel manager went out of her way to... More

I woke up at 2:30am to bed bugs biting me! The staff treated the bed and changed the sheets and assumed we would STILL be staying there that night. Unbelievable and absolutely disgusting!! Do not stay here!!!!!!

Over priced for what you get. Paper thin walls, could even hear the guest in the next room yawn, really? Barely any water pressure in shower. The pool area is a joke. Empty hot tub, dark and dreary during night hours and stepped on a piece of broken ceramic tile in the pool floor. Overall condition of place needs attention... More

Where do I start. Hot tub has been out of service at least since last August. When we went to check it out one of the employees was in there smoking. Deadly icebergs hanging from the eaves with a sign Beware of falling ice. Really?? Toilet paper roll broken. Holes in the wall. Low water pressure. The pool was empty... More

Stayed Saturday/Sunday nights. Very quiet. We heard no traffic. Nice to have a restaurant on premises to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beds were comfortable and had a nice room. They are doing some remodeling so rooms will be nicer yet!

The room we had was very nice. It was suite and it was very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again. The Jacuzzi was very nice and made the room that much better. The restaurant close by was a great pace to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

Room does not seem entirely clean - rate as poor. Beds are not comfortable. Noise level is worse than average but not unbearable. What bothered me most was witnessing people doing drugs in the parking lot. You do not want your kids to see this. Not a good place for families to stay. I called the police, but they didn't... No heated pool, hot tub not working and the beds and pillows were not good. The only good thing was that the hotel was pet friendly. We were in the middle of nowhere so i guess it was decent, but my wife and kids wished we stayed at the comfort inn down the road.
