This hotel is horrible. It smells musty, the carpet is old and gross, the wifi does not work, the towels are as thin as paper, and the beds and bedding are disturbing at best. Just beware what your getting yourself into if you do decide to stay here.

We stopped at Zeller's on our way back from Munising. The hotel had a nice lounge in front and check in was quick. Rooms were not very clean We didn't use the pool or hottub so I can't really comment on them. The restaurant was dark and service a little slow. Lady was very friendly.

My husband and I stayed here in August for one night. It is extemely overpriced for as rundown as it is. The room was not clean, the jaccuzzi tub had a nasty film in it, the air didn't work well. They advertise a restaurant and bar in front which was ok but service was very slow and the place was... More

We stayed at Zellars for 3 nights, August 2, 3, and 4th. Had I known then I would have stayed elsewhere with my grandkids. The room was OK, but TLC was needed. The pool had a lot of sand in it, the hot tub was roped off and empty and the whole pool floor was rough cement. Obviously a renovation... More

Would not stay here again. The nice lady that checked us in was apologetic for the computer being down, but was very helpful giving us extra towels, ice from the restaurant. Rooms were ok. The pool was dirty and needed updating and hot tub looked like it was out of order for a long time. It was nice that it... More

The hotel was mediocre. So not worth the money for our stay. We were told they had a pool but not a hot tub. What a disappointment!!! The picture on trip advisor is no where near accurate. The hot tub has not worked in months, the pool was dirty and nasty...the pool room itself is just absolutely disgusting and unclean.... More

Needed a hotel in the Newberry area for the two hearted trail run. Settled on Zellar's Village Inn because they had a restaurant on premise and an indoor pool with hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order and has been for some time. Check-in went fine, very friendly and helpful. Room was very basic, a little worn... More

This is a really great hotel. The location is fantastic if you want to explore the UP because of it's central location. The staff was amazing and bent over backwards to make sure we got everything we needed. We ran into some car trouble the week that we were there and the hotel manager went out of her way to... More

I woke up at 2:30am to bed bugs biting me! The staff treated the bed and changed the sheets and assumed we would STILL be staying there that night. Unbelievable and absolutely disgusting!! Do not stay here!!!!!!

Over priced for what you get. Paper thin walls, could even hear the guest in the next room yawn, really? Barely any water pressure in shower. The pool area is a joke. Empty hot tub, dark and dreary during night hours and stepped on a piece of broken ceramic tile in the pool floor. Overall condition of place needs attention... More
