THE CAMPGROUND Really nice campsite - very open - Spacious nice lay out for Travel Trailers, 5th Wheels, Motor Homes. The Owners are very nice and even stopped by our camp site to see how things were going. We stayed in Site 41 - Prime location very big area across from a nature hike area. If you want wood for a fire it is available on the campground - really good deal there too. AREA You are pretty much centered if you want to see Including results for Tahquamenon Falls, White Fish Point or Pictured Rocks. There are stores in the small town exiting Right when you leave the park and a few more options about 20 min drive past that area. OVERALL I see allot of reviews commenting about WI-FI - Honestly Folks NO Where in the U.P is good for WI-FI. If your going to the Upper Peninsula your entering a Wide Spread outage of WI-FI - So don't expect much. Don't base your decision on staying here because of WIFI - As mentioned any where in the UP is pretty much the same

Place is clean, but you have no privacy. You are just in top of your neighbor. Very concerning that no COVID precautions, no request for the mandatory mask!!!! Bathroom clean, shower with hot water but you need to keep on pushing the button to get the water. Larry very passive aggressive. If you like nature this is not the place to be.

We will review the facts for you other than your opinion. We appreciate you noticing the facilities are clean. The fact is you are not on top of your neighbor. All of the sites are 35 to 40 feet wide and 70 feet long. There are signs posted for social distancing and number of people permitted when using the restrooms and the laundry. Apparently you did not read the signs. The buttons are to make sure the water is turned off on its own so guest do not leave the water running and it conserves water. We are environmentally responsible. Last but not least I personally would not say if you like nature this is not the place to be, because we are surrounded by nature which is what we encourage guest to do and disconnect from technology for a while. Last but not least mask are not mandatory when you are outside and we respect individuals opinions on whether they want to wear a mask indoors or not. It is not a law!

I reserved this a year in advance and was greeted by the gentleman at the front desk who gave me attitude about not knowing the ins and outs of my confirmation when I asked for any tips or tricks I should know before setting up. Then I arrive at my site to find it covered in dog 💩. I get it the people before us were not good caretakers. But the guys response when I told him about the condition of the site was I thought I picked it all up when I checked the site. Well, I hope he’s not driving. Because he is obviously legally blind. Pros the sites are well spaced and it’s near the ORV trail. Cons the customer service is awful, there are no “perks” like garbage pick up. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me.

If you read you confirmation as we suggest you would already know some of the ins an outs of the campground. Our guidelines are also posted on our website for everyone to review. We did clean up the site as we do all the sites after everyone leaves, but one pile of dog doo do was missed from the prior guest. We apologized that it was missed and came right down to the site to clean it up. Taking care of our guest and making their stay great is what we do and is in our reviews. The is a dumpster placed in the middle of the campground for the guest to take their trash to. Garbage pick up is not a perk for you to take care of your own trash. Sorry you found it difficult to walk the 40 yards to it or drive by it on your way out.

The campgrounds were clean and had a nice set up. I liked that the campers were set up facing your neighbor. You could meet them and talk about your day adventure. Play games with them. I learned Ladder Ball. The bathrooms and laundry rooms are clean. Many children were playing on the playground, and playing tag and other games with room to run around. It is located a short drive from many various sights; Oswald Bear Ranch, both the upper and lower Taquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point Lighthouse, Paradise, Saulte Saints Marie, and downtown Newberry for groceries and the Thursday Farmers Market. Larry and Kathy are very nice and do whatever they can to make it a pleasant stay.

If you’re looking for a good “Northwoods experience” this will fit the bill. The campground is fine - nothing special but a good location for the attractions in the area. There aren’t sewer hookups (although there just may not have been any available when I called for reservations - confirm with campground). There aren’t really any amenities besides a playground and a nature trail. But it was a good solid place to park our RV while visiting the area.

Thank you for staying with us! Nature is what the U.P is about. The great outdoors! We do have 21 Full Hookups, however they were all reserved when you made your reservation. The playground is a great attraction for the kids and site seeing is abound, which the majority of the guest do.
