I stayed here 15 years ago under different owners and it good to see things haven’t changed. Clean and quite, air conditioned, a little out dated but will totally stay here again. Cheap and easy to book a room, non smoking and has a fridge , tv and microwave.
Love the Tall Pines Motel! Stayed in a clean room that had AC on the hottest days of summer! The staff is friendly and even gave us insight to some of the secret fishing spots. For a small motel they even had hot tasty coffee and English muffin toast! I highly recommend Tall Pines Motel! Priced right!
Room seemed fine until the bed bug bites started swelling up two days later. Didn't respond to calls or email about the problem for 3 days, and then said it was too late for the bites to have been from their beds.
This is the second time that we have stayed at Tall Pines. The owners are on site and very friendly and accommodating. The rooms may be dated, but they are clean!! Our double room had a small fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable! They allowed our 3 dogs. We won't hesitate to stay again. Who wants to spend a bunch on lodging when you are just laying your heads down then going out to enjoy the beauty of the U.P?
Nice clean mom-and-pop motel. Good rates and only a few miles from downtown Marquette or Negaunee. The people are very friendly and helpful. I expected a cheap room but I got a nice, clean quality room at a very good price for the area. Highly recommend it!
This place, even though they were remodeling, made certain that you had everything you could want. Not fancy, but nice and clean and pet friendly, too! I have found my new favorite place to stay in the Marquette area.
Going for a budget place it's quite nice. Rooms are older not frilly but clean, warm, and quaint. Tubs are really small but adds to the uniqueness. Sign lights are out and it's 3.5 miles from where Google and Applemaps say it should be. It's smack in between Marquette and Negaunee. Beds are soft btw. The manager was really nice.
My husband and I stayed there in sept and it was comfortable enough. The rooms were good sized. The maid was a little over bearing and not much of a breakfast...most days we had to make our own coffee ..limited supplies. If your looking for a quick overnight with no frills its the place to go..but skip the breakfast, not worth the trip to the office.A little pricey for whats offered.
Most of the motels in Marquette are overpriced during tourist season. If you want to cut costs, this place is okay. The bathtub was too small and my grandson complained about the quality of the water; beds however were pretty comfortable, and I liked being out of town and away from the crowds. Would recommend it for tourists trying to save money.
