Imposing chateau, beautiful grounds, but shamefully tired and a bit dirty. When I asked for an additional pillow they said if they gave me one it would have to come from another's room. ??? Spent 3 weeks in France and never charged the prices for breakfast as here! Double than others. Drive by for the view but sleep somewhere else!

Lovely property, but a bit over priced for small room, no air conditioning, no elevator. Probably better suited for spa type clientele with a taste for Michelin star restaurant. As a basic hotel it's a bit overpriced. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. A bit off the beaten path for access to Bayeux or Normandy beaches, but within easy driving... More

Nice public spaces but rooms small and cramped. Only one plug in the room that I couldn't reach so I ended up having to charge my phone in the bathroom. The breakfast was subpar--we were served what looked like Kraft singles in a country with fantastic cheeses! There was a pool but it was never open when we went to... More

The chateau is quite beautiful both on the exterior and interior with a separate bldg. that houses the pool. There are multiple public rooms for use in the main bldg. Staff are pleasant and wish they had offered info. on the features of the property like the pool (closes at 8pm), free phone calls, etc. when welcoming you to the... More

Should have written this at the time following trip, approx. 2009. Just found their advertisement brochure on my super- cluttered desk; brought back fond memories. Actually did this trip with my German future Son-in-Law. I'm not a "Foody" but I would say he is. He was quite impressed with their offerings. Very nice surroundings, room was nice, but small. We... I picked the Chateau because it was less than 5 minutes from Bayeux and had a pool. I was delighted that I did. Although some of the rooms are fairly small, I opted for an upgrade and had a lovely room above the entrance. As mentioned before, one needs a car, but I would imagine most visitors are touring the... More

The Concierge at the Hotel Baltimore in Paris recommended this chateau for our lodging needs during our Normandie visit. It's quite close to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery there (maybe a 3 mile drive). The history of the chateau is amazing. Imagine spending a night in a building erected in 1720, which was occupied for 2 years by German... More

Driving onto the grounds of the "Le Chateau de Sully " was like driving into a movie set of "Gatsby ". The young woman at the the reception was delightful. Exuberant and happy, and she could speak very good English too. The rooms were large and our French windows opened onto the long grounds entranceway. The expresso coffee maker in... More

First impressions, they say, count – wow a long drive, lovely gardens and a Chateau at the end. What's not love! We stayed in the Chateau in a triple room overlooking the front of the estate. The room had 3 proper beds, a Netspresso machine and King size double bed. Indeed the beds were comfortable and we slept REALLY well,... More
