We have just returned from a one week stay with our two children (3.5 and 1.5 yrs old). As the other reviews make clear this is a wonderful and unique family experience, strong recommendation for those looking for a holiday that is both family oriented and relaxing. Couple of points: The food is French cuisine and very good. They have chefs on site and they meals are varied and delicious The staff are simply fantastic. Special shout out to Emma the manager but all are courteous and patient. It also feels like there is a 1:1 staff to adult guest ratio The owners are on top of their business. Minor point but we are Jewish and have kosher preferences. The staff all knew and we never had to repeat this. They do a TON of childcare even for toddlers/babies. The onsite crèche is excellent with a strong manager and caring staff. Our older boy in particular was excited every day to get going to Kids Club Accommodation is charming rather than luxury hotel standards. Our apartment was spacious and cleaned every day The site it's on is very charming with plenty of shade and different things to do (tree house, swings, sandpit, tortoises etc etc). Really pleasant to walk around with the kids Hope that helps anyone reading - we will be back next year !

There's no Country Kids without Sylvain & Laure and their hand-picked team and so it would be too impersonal to refer to this wonderful place as a "hotel". Even before we arrived, they were attentive and helpful over email. Once we pulled up to the secluded property on Saturday, Sylvain immediately greeted us at the door with the kind of warm enthusiasm that makes any child (and any parent) happy to arrive. We literally had everything ready for us (food, bed, toys, towels for the heated pool!) and our daughter was enchanted by the setting. During our stay, there was nothing that was too much to ask for, and no detail that was missed. Although you can self-cater, we opted to let ourselves be spoiled by cooked meals every day - and it truly was a culinary delight for us foodies. Laure made sure our time was well spent including on our evenings out, with reassurance that our daughter was well looked-after by Laure and the babysitter. We really look forward to coming back!

This year was our 6th year at Country Kids! Owners Laure and Sylvain (along with the rest of the staff) have created a winning formula which means that both parents and kids are guaranteed a wonderful holiday. The site very secure and just the right size to allow slightly older kids to roam 'free' and safely if they want to, something that is rare for children to be able to these days. The kids club keeps them entertained for a few hours a day to allow parents to fully relax. In terms of activities, there is something for everyone, from fishing to golf, yoga, tennis, cycling, bike rides, spa treatments etc. My personal favourite are the petanque (boules) nights! I honestly think that some of our happiest memories as a family have been at Country Kids, its a truly magical place.

We have made the most magical memories over many years at Country Kids. We first visited in 2013 when our daughters were 6, 4 and 2, and we finally said goodbye this year - we would keep going back but it is time to pass the baton on to younger families to enjoy this most special of places! Over the years we have all been looked after so well, which has ensured that each and every one of us leaves having had the most wonderful of holidays. The Kids Club and Big Kids has offered endless entertainment for our daughters, and each year adapts so well to the ages of the children. The 'Everything's Included' package means that all of our needs are met through the week, we are never hungry or thirsty!! We've had the opportunity to stay in most of the apartments which all offer a unique experience. We've met so many great people over the years and have been blessed with making friendships that will last for years to come. The activities on offer throughout the week ensure no one is ever bored - you can choose to fill your week or choose to laze around - anything goes! Laure and Sylvain are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much for their brilliant team. We will miss Country Kids forever, especially sitting in our favourite bar in the world, glass of rose in hand, listening to the children having fun, safe in the knowledge that everyone is having the best time!

After missing out on our CountryKids break due to lock down restrictions in 2020 we returned for two wonderful weeks in 2021. This was our third holiday at Country Kids. If you are after a magical place in France to relax, whilst knowing your children are safe and off on adventures then this is the place. Laure and Sylvain have managed, with their team, to creat a magical space that feels like you are visiting old friends who happen to own a slice of paradise. Each apartment with is special and reflects the owners style, whilst our children looked forward to each day feeding the animals and going to kids club - plus the afternoon goute by the pool. We can’t wait to return in 2022.

We have just returned from a week away at Country Kids and even in writing a 5 star review my words will not be strong enough to convey the experience this place provides for a family. First of all, the location is a wonderful place to retreat from all the hustle of everyday life. While they do have WiFi and televisions our family was disconnected the entire time because the outdoors and activities fill you up! While it is remote it’s still not crazy hard to get to. (We actually drove from Cannes. For the sake of perspective we traveled from the US to Paris where we spent several days, then traveled to Cannes and then Country Kids. This week-long retreat is an excellent way to spend a long holiday in France.)The grounds are maintained beautifully with so many places for the kids to safely play independently even when not within kids club hours. Speaking of kids, this is a child’s dream! The kids club entertains the kids with such a variety of options. The staff is kind and fun! Activities vary based on the children’s interests. They will not be bored - in fact ours are begging to go back next summer! The loved the ride each morning to feed the animals! Our nine year old even did the overnight camping excursion. For the adults, this is the ultimate relaxation. No need to worry about food or beverage or kids! Lunches are leisurely and filling. The food is excellent and the wine plentiful. The staff is tremendous. Special thanks to Emma who would have a coffee waiting for me on the table each morning before I could even reach the breakfast area. She also knew my afternoon beverage of choice (st germain spritz) and kept those flowing too! Rich was attentive as well, made excellent drinks and was a master on the BBQ! Miss Alice was a dream with the kids! And Syl and Laure feel like family by the time you leave. They even stepped in big time to help us with some anxiety-Inducing covid restrictions as we were preparing to depart. They genuinely want you to enjoy yourself and relax while at Country Kids. For offsite activities we chose horseback riding and a pedal boat on a lake nearby. We enjoyed both of these and it was fun to explore the area just a bit. We also took advantage of the babysitting service and thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the restaurant down the road! (Of note: kids eat as a part of the kids club for lunch and dinner!) There are some special activities and events throughout the week that were a fun surprise! I don’t want to give them away though! We stayed in the chestnut house which we enjoyed but went into other units and they were all lovely! The only time we spent indoors was sleeping and showering however! We met amazing friends and spent most of our time socializing in the common area and pool. The bar is always open and you definitely don’t go hungry! (Insider tip: Order dessert at lunch) All in all I can’t say enough good things about this unique experience. It’s like nothing we’ve ever experienced. I can see why so many people return here time and time again.

This is our 3rd time to return to Country Kids and it just keeps getting better and better. Firstly I have to mention the personable service given by Laure and Syl, husband and wife team and owners. They with their team Rich, Emma, Margaux, Annie and Alice pull out all the stops to make sure that your every need is catered for. Thanks again to you all for another fabulous stay. We arrived this year after nearly 2 years lockdown in Ireland and it was just as magical as our memory from 2019. I’m writing this review as we are starting our second week of our stay. This is an all inclusive resort which includes accommodation, alcohol, food, kids club, babysitting service, spa treatments, off campus activities and daily trips to the farm. The food is excellent, either served by the pool or bar. Local oysters and prawns are served with a nice cool glass of rose or champagne. An al a carte lunch menu offers delicious fresh salads, crepes, burgers and baguettes. The most special part is the attention and love given to your children. Watch in awe as they go to the kids club every day and grow in confidence. This is a boutique service so that your children are given one to one care whilst being encouraged to take part in all the activities such as, nature trails, baking, treasure hunts, Arts and crafts, camping, swimming and daily visits to the farm. This means that whilst your kids are happy making new friends you can enjoy some adult time to finally read your book by the pool or indulge in the hot tub or have that chilled glass of champagne at lunch time or sit in the outdoor bar chatting with other parents or simply relax in your gorgeous apartment overlooking the stunning gardens leading down to the heated outdoor pool. Did I mention that a babysitter comes twice a week so that you can walk down to the Michelin style restaurant down the road? Or that the kids over 6 have a fully supervised camping night every week? Or that you only see your kids fleetingly for the week because they are so happy running free in this fully gated secure paradise? Once again Country Kids has delivered with bells and whistles. Not solely because of what they do. No, it’s because of the people behind the resort. It’s because the heart and soul of the 2 owners is palpable throughout the experience. The only downside is that when the kids get older and no longer want to come, us parents we will be left with the memories of a very special place. As Carlsberg say ‘Probably the best in the world’

If you have a young family, it is unlikely you will find a more relaxing place to spend a week or two. Set in the middle of rugged countryside, it is an ideal place to switch off and leave work behind. Country kids runs two kids’ clubs, one for those under 6 and one for bigger ones. Most mornings start with visiting the farm and feeding the animals and then our kids typically take themselves off to kids’ club. We have two aged 10 and one aged 3. It is a small and intimate resort where you end up on first name terms with residents and staff alike. The clientele, invariably interesting and the adults can have some quality time either with other residents or doing their own thing, either on or off site. The pool is excellent and heated throughout the year which is ideal for little ones. The atmosphere is like visiting friends abroad with a nice house, but without the need to do the washing up! The hosts and Staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. It has become a regular part of our year and probably the most relaxing part of it.

We started going to Country kids when our son was 3 months old and daughter 2. We’ve been every year since as we haven’t found a better holiday for us as parents AND the kids. They’re now 8 & 10. Every year little touches get added to make our holiday even better and more enjoyable. The food is excellent, the bar unlimited and staff faultless. I could not think of a better place to spend relaxing and enjoying time with the family and friends. We spent a week and it was almost like living in a bubble where we could forget about Covid19. We felt safe, “Covid secure” & relaxed properly for the first time in a very long time. We already booked for next year. Country Kids is that good. The simple genius of Country Kids is the fact the kids can run free, explore and play with other children & make new friends whilst you know they’re happy. It’s a fantastic holiday for them, with other little ones and the parents. As parents, you are confident they are safe, entertained and having a whole week of fun. Each year, we meet some lovely other parents who help make the whole week completely brilliant. There is plenty for all the family to do on site - tennis, table tennis, mini golf, boules, swimming, spa, trampolining, zip wire, yoga, gym, or you could spend time in the sandpit, playground, treehouses or the awesome kids clubs (there are 2 levels for kids - babies & toddlers & the big kids club). Your week starts gently with a warm welcome and staff helping you unpack your car then taking your bags to your apartment. The second year you go, you relax immediately from the moment you walk through the gate. The Sunday lunch is the first time all the parents sit down and have a long cassoulet lunch washed down with some decent wine. After lunch and a lie by the pool, you get used to not having to do anything. On Saturday/Sunday you start to plan your week with Laure. Organised activities such as pony riding, fishing, sailing, canyoning, cycling, rock climbing, horse & carriage riding, village markets & restaurants are booked. Last yearly son caught an enormous trout which the chef kindly cooked on the barbecue for all the kids to eat. There’s also a huge dvd collection if you want a quiet night in your apartment. On Tuesday & Thursday nights you have baby sitters included whilst you go out for dinner (La Palombe a short walk away is our favourite with utterly fabulous food) They even do your washing and ironing in the middle of the week for you. The raclette night with Sylvan, Emma and the team was superb, the Friday barbecue by Richard is without equal and food sublime. Kids eat supper whilst we’re enjoying a drink chatting with other parents. Drinks and icecreams by the pool help throughout the day with afternoon tea delivered at 4pm’ish just to help you & the kids last until a hearty supper. The Boules night is always fun and I was lucky enough to win it this year! (Much to my surprise!) The biggest improvement this year has been the farm experience and the finesse / small touches that really added up throughout the week to ensure every aspect of our stay was even more enjoyable than last year. The kids love jumping in the tractor trailer to ride up to the farm every morning to collect the eggs & feed the animals. Chickens roam free and the brave (fast) kids even pick them up. The pigs are my daughter’s favourite animal & both love jumping on Apache the friendly horse and always help feed the 6 or so donkeys. The goats were in theIr natural habitat and really friendly / almost like pets. If you want to relax, have fun with the kids but not be responsible for entertaining them for a week, you cannot get a better holiday than this. Thank you Sylvan, Laure, Richard, Emma and the team for such an amazing week. Can’t wait to go again next year for the 9th time!

We stayed at Country Kids for a week in August with our two daughters, 6 years and 16 months. We had a phenomenal time and love the activities for kids and adults, the food and the company. Laure and Sylvain do am amazing job making you feel at home, so does their entire staff. The kids loved being at the kids club with Annie and her team and enjoyed the animal feeds at the farm every morning. We were only 3 families due to Covid travel restriction’s, but still got the full experience, no shortage on staff or anything else. You can engage with the other families as much or little as you want to. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure! Oh and thanks for posting the bag we forgot without us even noticing first! 😂
