This is our 3rd time to return to Country Kids and it just keeps getting better and better.
Firstly I have to mention the personable service given by Laure and Syl, husband and wife team and owners. They with their team Rich, Emma, Margaux, Annie and Alice pull out all the stops to make sure that your every need is catered for.
Thanks again to you all for another fabulous stay. We arrived this year after nearly 2 years lockdown in Ireland and it was just as magical as our memory from 2019. I’m writing this review as we are starting our second week of our stay.
This is an all inclusive resort which includes accommodation, alcohol, food, kids club, babysitting service, spa treatments, off campus activities and daily trips to the farm. The food is excellent, either served by the pool or bar. Local oysters and prawns are served with a nice cool glass of rose or champagne. An al a carte lunch menu offers delicious fresh salads, crepes, burgers and baguettes.
The most special part is the attention and love given to your children. Watch in awe as they go to the kids club every day and grow in confidence. This is a boutique service so that your children are given one to one care whilst being encouraged to take part in all the activities such as, nature trails, baking, treasure hunts, Arts and crafts, camping, swimming and daily visits to the farm.
This means that whilst your kids are happy making new friends you can enjoy some adult time to finally read your book by the pool or indulge in the hot tub or have that chilled glass of champagne at lunch time or sit in the outdoor bar chatting with other parents or simply relax in your gorgeous apartment overlooking the stunning gardens leading down to the heated outdoor pool.
Did I mention that a babysitter comes twice a week so that you can walk down to the Michelin style restaurant down the road? Or that the kids over 6 have a fully supervised camping night every week? Or that you only see your kids fleetingly for the week because they are so happy running free in this fully gated secure paradise?
Once again Country Kids has delivered with bells and whistles. Not solely because of what they do. No, it’s because of the people behind the resort. It’s because the heart and soul of the 2 owners is palpable throughout the experience.
The only downside is that when the kids get older and no longer want to come, us parents we will be left with the memories of a very special place.

As a tired family of five, arriving to this perfect rustic luxury resort exceeded all our expectations.
Laure and Sylvain are the most perfect hosts.
Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. The experience is a perfect blend of entertaining children, combined with the balance of ensuring the adults get a restful and enjoyable time too.
In particular our children have never been fond of children’s clubs, however due to the personal, welcoming environment our children (with ages ranging from 5-10) were more than completely satisfied with their exciting environment......the beautiful well organised enclosed resort enables them to play blissfully in a safe and supervised environment.
Adding to the relaxed atmosphere for parents, without spoiling surprises, you will most certainly not be disappointed!

This year was our 6th year at Country Kids! Owners Laure and Sylvain (along with the rest of the staff) have created a winning formula which means that both parents and kids are guaranteed a wonderful holiday. The site very secure and just the right size to allow slightly older kids to roam 'free' and safely if they want to, something that is rare for children to be able to these days. The kids club keeps them entertained for a few hours a day to allow parents to fully relax. In terms of activities, there is something for everyone, from fishing to golf, yoga, tennis, cycling, bike rides, spa treatments etc. My personal favourite are the petanque (boules) nights! I honestly think that some of our happiest memories as a family have been at Country Kids, its a truly magical place.

Country Kids is an extremely special place. Laure and Sylvain have created the perfect environment for all members of the family to relax and connect with one another. Every small detail has been thought of, from the food in your own fridge when you arrive so you can relax after your journey to the refreshing ice pops to hydrate the kids after their morning trip to the farm. All staff are exceptional, offering expertise in their area and a personalised, friendly service. Our 4 year old son had a wonderful time and loved the kids club, whose staff are caring and centered around each individual. He felt comfortable in the environment instantly, rushing to the tractor and the tree house each day. My husband and I had time to relax together - to talk, read and enjoy the wonderful food, knowing that our son was having a great time with other children and being cared for by excellent staff. When we left, I actually felt quite emotional, as we had shared an extremely, special and memorable experience. We are full of gratitude to Sylvain, Laure and their incredible team.

We have made the most magical memories over many years at Country Kids. We first visited in 2013 when our daughters were 6, 4 and 2, and we finally said goodbye this year - we would keep going back but it is time to pass the baton on to younger families to enjoy this most special of places! Over the years we have all been looked after so well, which has ensured that each and every one of us leaves having had the most wonderful of holidays. The Kids Club and Big Kids has offered endless entertainment for our daughters, and each year adapts so well to the ages of the children. The 'Everything's Included' package means that all of our needs are met through the week, we are never hungry or thirsty!! We've had the opportunity to stay in most of the apartments which all offer a unique experience. We've met so many great people over the years and have been blessed with making friendships that will last for years to come. The activities on offer throughout the week ensure no one is ever bored - you can choose to fill your week or choose to laze around - anything goes! Laure and Sylvain are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much for their brilliant team. We will miss Country Kids forever, especially sitting in our favourite bar in the world, glass of rose in hand, listening to the children having fun, safe in the knowledge that everyone is having the best time!

If you have a young family, it is unlikely you will find a more relaxing place to spend a week or two.
Set in the middle of rugged countryside, it is an ideal place to switch off and leave work behind. Country kids runs two kids’ clubs, one for those under 6 and one for bigger ones. Most mornings start with visiting the farm and feeding the animals and then our kids typically take themselves off to kids’ club. We have two aged 10 and one aged 3.
It is a small and intimate resort where you end up on first name terms with residents and staff alike. The clientele, invariably interesting and the adults can have some quality time either with other residents or doing their own thing, either on or off site. The pool is excellent and heated throughout the year which is ideal for little ones. The atmosphere is like visiting friends abroad with a nice house, but without the need to do the washing up!
The hosts and Staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble.
It has become a regular part of our year and probably the most relaxing part of it.

We stayed at Country Kids for a week in August with our two daughters, 6 years and 16 months. We had a phenomenal time and love the activities for kids and adults, the food and the company. Laure and Sylvain do am amazing job making you feel at home, so does their entire staff. The kids loved being at the kids club with Annie and her team and enjoyed the animal feeds at the farm every morning. We were only 3 families due to Covid travel restriction’s, but still got the full experience, no shortage on staff or anything else. You can engage with the other families as much or little as you want to. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure! Oh and thanks for posting the bag we forgot without us even noticing first! 😂

This Summer was our 4th year at Country Kids and we don’t usually repeat holidays! When we found it our kids were 2 and 4 and our first thought was we wished we’d found it earlier. For tired/stressed/all consumed parents it is the perfect getaway. On no other holiday have we been able to read our books, relax, have some4 amazing couple time (eg. at the phenomenal La Palombe restaurant just down the road, visiting vineyards and riding E bikes) but also unforgettable family time. The “kids club” is like no other, with a trampoline, crazy golf, tree house, sand pit, soft play (for when it’s too hot!) petting farm etc etc all on site you can hear the kids’ laughter wherever you are onsite. Our 7 year old’s highlight is always the weekly camping trip where the older kids get to cook sausages in the bbq, toast marshmallows and play games before retiring to their tents. All whilst the grown ups enjoy cocktails and local delicacies. From 0-12 your children will absolutely love this place and you will too.

After missing out on our CountryKids break due to lock down restrictions in 2020 we returned for two wonderful weeks in 2021. This was our third holiday at Country Kids. If you are after a magical place in France to relax, whilst knowing your children are safe and off on adventures then this is the place. Laure and Sylvain have managed, with their team, to creat a magical space that feels like you are visiting old friends who happen to own a slice of paradise. Each apartment with is special and reflects the owners style, whilst our children looked forward to each day feeding the animals and going to kids club - plus the afternoon goute by the pool. We can’t wait to return in 2022.

This place gets everything right. From the delicious welcome dinner to the GF bread available in the shop, there is nothing Laure and Syl and their team haven't thought of. Feel like a lunch outing? Multiple laminated direction cards at your service. Want some wine? Laure phones a good tasting room to check hours. Need a hike? Syl recommends a place his daughters like. Staying over Easter? The children get a special chocolate egg hunt. My 5yo twins and 3yo were excited to run off to the tractor and then kids club every morning, and my husband and I had ample time to explore the area and enjoy ourselves. Beautiful place, lots to do, delicious food, wonderful people, and happy kids. Booking next year's return was an easy decision.

So sorry for the very late reply. The two older children would have the time of their lives there. There is so much for them to do including overnight camping trips in the forest etc.
There are more places to choose from in the Octon area.
