Charm and elegance between Provence and Languedoc. The Aparis family has welcomed guests since 1989 in the medieval village of Collias. The Hostellerie Le Castellas is a group of 17th century buildings, restored in the manner of the stones of Vers Pont du Gard and the delightful style of the Languedoc region. Each room is individually decorated in a variety of styles from art deco to art nouveau and even baroque. A touch of modern comfort completes each one. Two magnificent stone vaulted lounge rooms open on to the zen shady garden planted with a variety of species. Below this garden, a swimming pool with jacuzzi is an invitation to calm and relaxation. Here the word pleasure takes on its full meaning as everything is designed for the well being and enjoyment of our guests. Areas for relaxation, original or charming details form a brilliant combination of materials, colours and light. In this utter haven of peace and gourmet pleasures, the Hostellerie Le Castellas welcomes you for an idyllic stay.

We stayed here for two nights on a walking holiday. See a review of their restaurant in their separate listing that is not as good as their hotel on some days? The room we had at the top of the hotel was quiet and very nice. Slightly tired bathroom but bed good and an additional sitting area and patio. Staff friendly throughout and the provided picnic was excellent. Simple (non buffet and pre-ordered) breakfast was good and wholesome.

The exterior of the hotel is an old stone building that has been in the village forever and offers no hint at the sophisticated modern interior. The hotel offered all on the modern comforts. We were able to have dinner there one night and it was beautifully prepared and presented. Jean Christof at the front desk was most helpful in preparing a light dinner for us when all the nearby restaurants were closed.

We spend one night in this beautiful hotel in a small village. We had a nice view from our room over the village. The staff is very nice and try to make its best against the covid situation. Unfortunately the AC was off due to Covid and the temperature was a bit high. We really liked the terrace with a lot of shadow. We found the breakfast buffet a bit under our expectations. It is mainly a matter of presentation. Our room was clean but the toilet would surely benefit from a small renovation.

This was our 3 rd. visit and we simply love this place . Beautiful setting in a shaded garden and fantastic food are a wonderful combination for any special holiday treat. If you are in the area on your travels ,it's worth a small detour to experience this place. If you can, stay one night or more: if not,you will surely have a lunch to remember...we have always been delighted with this place. Merci.

We were lucky enough to visit the crowded area off season, which was a real luxury. Collias is very peaceful place. The hostellerie is located in a beautiful mansion, we stayed in one of the suite on the 2nd floor. Furnished and decorated with taste and style. Offering a large terrace. We experienced a few technical problems but the staff was really reactive and nice about it. The restaurant is a must, renowed, it really worth it. The outside is also very cozy and lovely with a little swimming pool nestled in the garden. Very beautiful place to discover

We were in Collias for 1 night and found this restaurant whilst wandering around. On the off chance we managed to get a table for 2 and found the place to be a lovely outside setting in a courtyard. The food was very enjoyable and very well presented with staff that were very engaging. It wasn't the most inexpensive place but we both found it a very nice experience

This is a lovely little hotel in a quiet village, within striking distance of the pont du gard, either by foot or car. Our room, in a 200 y.o. building, was spacious and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The decoration was tasteful but quite quirky. One wall was decorated with a plane (?) tree in 3D, and we were provided with bath salts even though we only had a shower. The hotel has a small unheated pool and spa - ideal for cooling off on a hot day, but not for serious exercise. There is a very pleasant courtyard where we enjoyed a truly excellent meal.

A lovely hotel with wonderful hosts. We arrived late but they were there to guide us to our free parking and help us with our bags. Dinner was excellent! Unfortunately there is a town clock that chimes at 7AM but no fault of the establishment. The large windows provided a wonderful cook evening breeze.

Lovely old building with good walks nearby and excellent food. We were upgraded to a very luxurious room. The website is not entirely reliable on availability - we turned up hoping to be able to stay a second night and it was no problem at all! recommend the walk to the Pont du Gard.

Beautiful and welcoming inn. Art work is amazing all throughout. Great meals and friendly staff. The parking situation is a bit confusing as it is around the corner and up a street. Arriving on Mother's day in France, we had to wait for someone to come and help us with our luggage, not knowing where the entrance to the building was. All ended well, and we enjoyed our stay.
