The first view from the road was of the garden and terraces and the grand house, but only upon entering the property do you fully appreciate the lovely house and surrounds. We were welcomed by Sylvie with ice cold water, towels for the pool and a warm greeting. We're a family of four, kids 5&9. We stayed in 'La Lézardières',...

Our stay at the Domaine des Bidaudieres came from a family recommendation and totally fulfilled our very high expectations. The house itself is lovely and the bedrooms very well and smartly furnished. Every creature comfort has been considered and the owners are on hand to help in any way possible. There is a stunning and well maintained swimming pool and...

The hospitality of this location was fabulous. We stayed in the self contained guest house which was perfect for a family, gave us space and quiet however we could visit the main house for pre dinner drinks and breakfast when we wanted. Breakfast was lovely, fresh pastries and bread each morning. The highlight of the location is the hospitality shown...

We stayed here in the Troglodite rooms, away from the main house and built into the side of the garden, magical! We arrived at dusk with our three children and were able to pull up right outside our little apartment which was very helpful. It was our first taste of real France after our long journey from Calais, it was...

We recently spent 4 days exploring the Loire Valley and stayed at the Domaine des Bidaudieres for the duration. Mme Sylvie could not have been more friendly or helpful to us. We were a family, including granny and a dog, but nothing was too much trouble for her or her colleagues. This is not an ultra modern flashy chain hotel;...

It's a very charming property and the hostess was really nice. We felt very welcome, got some tips about local restaurants and places to stay on our route. The chateau is not in the center of the Vouvray, but it takes only 4-5 min to get there by car. Breakfast was in a classic French style: coffee/tea, pastries, butter, jam...

We were returning to the UK from the Dordogne, and had decided to stay overnight around Tours, and I had booked a stay at des Bidaudieres, having found the accommodation on booking.com. After booking, the proprietor phoned to say the room we had booked was not actually available, and offered us La Lezardiere - which appeared on the website to...

We arrived as 3 couples with 3 cars on a Sunday having chosen this chambre d'hote as it offers secure parking between Tours and Amboise, has character and is reasonably priced. We'd read on Trip Advisor that the hostess is happy to accommodate picnickers and we knew that shops and restaurants are often closed on Sundays so we had bought...

On the route of the castles spent here 3 nights. Lovely place, 10 min from tours and perfect spot for wandering around this region. Pool is open unfortunately only from May while breakfast is delicious and well served. Situated in a huge park.

We stayed here for 3 nights, in the Gardeners Cottage. This was a self contained chalet on the estate away from the main building. It had 2 bedrooms (one double and two singles) and a separate bathroom upstairs then a toilet, kitchen and living room downstairs. Quite clean, loads of charm and character, but it is in the country so...
